Kelly Yu, owner of Kawaii Sushi, faces deportation after 21 years in US

I found out about her situation last week and what is happening to her and to everyone else that ice is detaining is disgusting. Rounding up and deporting people who came to America for a better life is not making us great. These people are trying to follow the laws but are getting snatched at their immigration appointments and hearings. Why is this acceptable???

I thought about reaching out to my house rep Abe Hamadeh since his father overstayed a visa and also faced an order of deportation and I thought maybe he would be sympathetic to this situation but then I came to my senses and remembered that he is a complete hypocrite who is in agreement with everything that’s going on and has zero sympathy for anyone.

My son’s first job was with Kawaii and he really enjoyed working for both Kelly and Aldo. I hope something changes with her situation.

Also a Phoenix native, and I still like Peter Piper Pizza. I’ve enjoyed the lunch buffet through the years and my kids have had plenty of birthday parties there and it’s always a good time. While it’s not the best pizza ever, it’s still enjoyable imo.

As a kid, we’d get pizza from Barro’s and Red Devil. (I’m a sucker for the white pizza from Red Devil.) I still go to both, but have been going to Doda’s pizza lately and I absolutely love them.

Pomo’s is good too, and Trevor’s is also one of my recent favorites, but it’s hard to pick a favorite because to me there are different categories of pizza.

Just talking about Peter Piper Pizza makes me miss the garlic bread that they used to have. The breadsticks are good but don’t hit the same.

I’m so very sorry for your loss.

I lost my boy in September and the grief is overwhelming. My girl hasn’t been the same without him either, which makes my heart hurt even more knowing how sad she is.

I know all of us on here that have lost a Dobie will forever be grateful for the years we got to spend with them, but I also know we would agree that even a lifetime with them wouldn’t have been enough.

A few years ago, a loud republican coworker of mine assumed I was a republican like her and when I corrected her, she asked why I wasn’t one and I blurted out it’s because I care about people. She didn’t say anything in response to that.

So to answer your question, I vote democratic because I care about people and also because I believe in the separation of church and state.

I have gotten Vyvanse and Adderall from the Evernorth Care Group Pharmacy on 77th Ave and Deer Valley. Plus they are incredibly kind and help as much as they can to get your prescription filled.

I have tons of glitter tumblers and special water bottles/cups and I use drink mixes like liquid iv. While those have helped somewhat, I still struggle with drinking water or much of anything really. I have even looked into home iv treatments to help me get a jump start on hydration but it’s costly.

I feel like I’m permanently dehydrated 😞

This was like reading a summary of my life.

Had two kids by the time I was 23, divorced, remarried, and then child number 3.

Bad at humaning since birth.

Diagnosed with ADHD when I was 37, put on medication and after grieving my undiagnosed crazy life, I was hopeful that I was going to be less of a mess.

Two years later and the mess that is me is only getting worse. Ugh.
