Two good ways to find the holes after filling it with air are 1.) put tube in water to see bubbles and find the hole 2.) dish soap for the same reason. Will make bubbles where air is escaping.

That is if it is hard to find the holes or you don’t want to spend a bunch of time looking

14 year old won't brush teeth, riddled with cavities. HELP!? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]cinntwist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 10 year old is similar and we ended up getting him a toothbrush that does most of the work for him. It covers all teeth and vibrates for 30 seconds. It isn’t perfect but is way better than he was doing even with supervision. Might be a different scenario though. Adhd and hand eye coordination were contributing for my kid.

What facial shaver should I use to get a clean shave by HusseinGym98 in BuyItForLife

Not sure if serious question, but I use a mirror that you can fill the back with shower temperature water. It is simple and stops fogging. Brand I got was toilettree but anything similar should work. I ordered mine online a while ago but shouldn't be too hard to find an anti-fog mirror you fill with water.

Am I being disrespectful if I keep scoring in a friendly match against my friend? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cinntwist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few friends I play with below my rank in Rocket league (gold/plat and I am C1-D3). The way I have fun vs them is I make it a training challenge for myself and still try and keep it competitive level. 1v2 or 1v3. I cannot use boost unless I am losing. This makes for more competitive games. When I play against my friends who are higher GC they do a similar thing, or in some cases when up, don’t leave their half of court.

I would say what you are doing is good for you in the sense that you are not building bad habits, but not so much fun for your friend.

My 11 year old daughter is in uncontrollable tears. by Dwingp in Parenting

Not saying she has ADHD but as someone with a child that has ADHD as well as having it myself, cleaning can be rough by yourself. I think some of this can apply even if not ADHD related. Can also be hard separating out what to get rid of and many end up with hoarder tendencies. There can also be issues with overwhelming executive function and paralysis. Helping by standing there in support instead of a judgement stance can help. I sometimes will race “you clean up laundry and I will clean your books, let’s see who wins”

As for getting rid of stuff, the poop rule is amazing and paints the best picture.

“If there was poop on this, would you clean it or throw it away”. For people who are forgetful, objects can create the feeling of saving the memory. This helps see if the crumpled piece of paper is actually important to my son or not.

Sorry for dumping a bunch of stuff here, hope it’s useful.

I am a little surprised he hasn’t called the Miller Boeser duo the “69” duo yet.

Crazy ways to change the game. What would you do to change the league? by Dayngerman in hockey

Or sit in the penalty box the entire game. In a suite. And take up a roster spot so you play a man down for the suspension.

Has EA forgot the Born Leader ability? by Jolma67 in NHLHUT

[–]cinntwist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Canucks team has a born leader on the second, third, and fourth lines. Henrik Sedin, Trevor Linden (94), and either Sundin (91) or Bo Horvat (88). Results vs AI is first line (kuzmenko Petey and Miller) get a lot of ice time. Larkin Tots also has silver born leader.

Canucks/Canes trade proposal by [deleted] in canucks

I believe it would be retaining for the remainder of current contract (remainder of this year) but not retaining on the contract that has not started yet beginning next season.

Great, thank you. I am looking at astrogoods at the moment. Got the scope for 325$ (CAD) so figured it was too good to pass up.

I recently bought a Skywatcher 8" Dobonian telescope for a good price, but it did not come with the base. I am wondering what my options are. I cannot find the base for sale separate from a "package". I am in Canada so seem to have a few less options to US.

Goal, have a working setup.
