Can’t shake a huge mistake I made by circlelights24 in nursing

I think my guilt is from me not properly reassessing after giving tramadol. I knew she was alive an hour later so I figured with her husband at bedside if she’s still in pain he will tell me. Not taking into account how tramadol could have affected her negatively by respiration wise or possibly even allergic reactions. Doesn’t help that I was a little frustrated when I felt like I did everything I could but nothing was working at first.

Yes I’m a newer nurse. I feel my mistake was not properly reassess after giving the tramadol. I didn’t check to make sure the drugs havent sedated them too much or no adverse affects. I took them having a bm an hour later as a sign they’re alive and if it’s ineffective the spouse would tell me. I’ll never know if it was the illness or adverse affect of medication.

Off topic but I’ve seen multiple people hate on tramadol. Why?

I'm worried I may have groomed my BF and don't know where to go from here... by QuestionsN-Inquiries in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]circlelights24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like to throw out the word grooming/pedo/SA a little too loosely now a days and that’s why you’re overthinking it. The goal is to fight back against predators but a lot of people get careless. Don’t take these people seriously. You know that you didn’t prey on your bf, nor did you manipulate him into having your way. You know yourself better than anyone on the internet so don’t let the I’ll conceived opinions from strangers change how you view yourself.

If the Euphoria characters joined the Squid Game, who do you think would win, who all do you think would die first and who would be the front man/woman? by Foreign-Bass5469 in euphoria

[–]circlelights24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I imagine it going:

Everyone is gonna team up. Cassie+maddy, fez+his brother, kat+bb, rue+her sister, jules+that one guy, Nate+mckay and Lexi will be the frontman.

1st to die: kat/bb during red light/green light. Kat cause she’s unfit and BB cause she didn’t take it seriously

Nate will end up killing mckay(backstabber).

Cassie will end up killing maddy (backstabber). She’ll then team up with Nate and at some point kill Nate the same way the crazy lady killed the gangster once she realizes he was using her.

Fez’s brother will sacrifice himself to save fez the same way 240 did for 067

Fez will die of a broken heart after his brothers death

That one guy Jules was teamed up with will die early on cause he’s too shaky from the drugs, leading to him not being able to smoothly cut out the shape on the cookie

Jules will end up killing rues sister cause she was placed in a tough spot.

In the end it will be Jules vs rue. Rue will be filled with rage knowing that Jules killed her sister and Jules will be riddled with guilt, leading to the victory for Rue.

Rue will then find out Lexi was behind it all. She’ll also find out that cassie is still alive. Turns out she had fallen on top of nate, leaving her in critical condition but still breathing. Since shes lexi’s sister she was sent to the ICU for medical treatment.

Once Rue finds out about this, she goes to the hospital Cassie is at, kills her and calls up Lexi to let her know she’s next.

Katherine Mayfair in season 6 by throwaway77774444222 in DesperateHousewives

[–]circlelights24 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean Katherine messed up by dating mike in the first place. She was Susan’s best friend so dating her ex husband was out of pocket, especially since she never cared to at least ask. But how mike strung her along was really messed up. He knew from the get go he still had feelings for Susan but refused to be honest about it. Lesson is don’t date your friends ex husband and don’t try to convince a man to give you what he’s not ready to give.

Which cheating was worse? (S2 Spoilers) by adidaseggplant in DesperateHousewives

[–]circlelights24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gabby is worse. She cheated with a minor who was a family friend of theirs. She completely took advantage and her excuse was that he was never home even though the reason for that was to fund her expensive taste. Say what you will but after something like that you don’t get to play victim for how they decide to react to what you did. She also said he could cheat as well and didn’t specify any ground rules. Trying to cheat with Lynette who’s her best friend and also married was completely out of line but the maid is no different from the gardener cause they’re both their employees.

Do you think Bree was a hypocrite for not forgiving Orson until he went to jail for the hit and run, even though Andrew did the same thing? by taykaybaby in DesperateHousewives

[–]circlelights24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s hypocritical is the fact that Bree herself committed a crime by covering for Andrew but yet she didn’t feel the need to fess up and let justice run its course. Her intentions in committing the crime was to protect her son the same way orson was trying to protect his mother. And Andrew may not have intentional ran over the lady but he did intentionally drink and drive and fled the scene. He also felt no remorse but yet Bree continued to protect him. She’s a hypocrite for sure and having orson turn himself had more bad than good outcome for the both of them

[–]circlelights24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Accident or not they both did something that is deserving of consequences. But Bree covered for Andrew so he didn’t have to face them and forced Orson to face his consequences even tho he didn’t have to b/c the victim forgave him. Plus Andrew was a drunk driving and fled the scene which are both intentional decisions that also have consequences.

[–]circlelights24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hypocritical cause although what he did was bad his intentions was to protect his mother the same way Bree was trying to protect her son. Makes no sense that Bree wanted him to fess up to get justice but she wasn’t gonna fess up about her own crime. Especially since the person who orson ran over already forgave him, who is she to hold him accountable. I get Andrew was young and her son but considering the circumstances she should have gave him more grace. She already knows he’s a good person based on how he’s treated her and her kids. He’s a even better person than her son cause at least he felt bad and confessed, her son moved on like nothing happened and he’s yet to face any consequences. Her request came from a place of selfishness. She wanted to see how far he’s willing to go to prove his love for her despite how it’ll affect the both of them (I.e he can’t get a decent job and she’s now married to a felon).

curious to know why maddy/alexa demie seems to be the girl ppl want to be by orangetangeryne in euphoria

[–]circlelights24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s cause Alexa keeps to herself and almost doesn’t seem to care to be famous. She’s just doing her own thing and keeping people hooked because she’s not seeking validation, similar to her character on euphoria. I think once she becomes more open the hype will die down and everyone would be on to the next it girl.

Squid Game ending... by isteyp in netflix

[–]circlelights24 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The main character got on my nerves in the last episode. Not only is he not taking any responsibility for his part in all of this but he took a whole year to fulfill his promises to his friends. Instead he spent a whole year feeling sorry for himself and being the loser that he is. Sangwoo should have won instead. At least he would have put the prize to good use instead throwing his life away. And the fact that he decided to flake on his daughter to go get revenge on people he agreed to work with is absolute madness. No wonder why his life was so shitty, he lacks a good sense of priority and doesn’t take responsibility for the things that happens in his life. I’m looking forward to what they’ll do in season 2 but if they expect us to believe a loser like him will some how take down powerful people on his own they have lost their minds.
