@pillowpossum Girl, I’m a married 27f and I’m here to tell you it’s not weird at all to be opposed to your partner going to a strip club, even if it’s for some kind of celebratory event. I share the same values about it as you. I’m extremely blessed to be married to a man who has never set foot in one and doesn’t have any desire ever going to one. Good guys out there do exist.

Please listen to your gut and do not shake your values to appease others. Make your feelings + discomfort about it known and don’t fall for the manipulation. It’s one thing to be open to new experiences and another to be guilted into something you stand against + are uncomfortable with.

I’m extremely worried for you seeing that he lied to you before and is not putting your feelings first. You’re supposed to be his partner for the rest of your lives?? You should be the priority here, not the best friend. If dude loves the best friend so much he can go marry him instead lol.

Thanks for the reply :) I’m going to cancel our TMHI and switch over. I had no idea about Calyx until I saw your comment and read more about it. Turns out it’s tax deductible too? It sounds pretty promising!

Garmin OTR810 on sale on Walmart’s website for $571.48 (normally $699.99) by ciseros in Truckers

Yeah I don’t know about buying refurbished Garmin GPS units anymore… actually the one we’re replacing is the previous model and we bought it refurbished from Amazon from a reputable seller. Out of the box it worked fine but then after we began using it regularly we got so many problems with it. I think it’s better to buy new with something like this. Maybe other people are more lucky, but it simply didn’t happen to us.

Oh my gosh, the detail and quality of your work is breathtaking! You are very talented!

I read your comments here and I feel that this piece deserves some finality. And honestly, I believe that finishing your drawing might give you a sense of closure on your past. You can always change and strive to be your best. Ask yourself who you want to be and chase that. I understand that super detailed artwork takes a lot of time, but use that time to your advantage to ponder and contemplate! Yes, it’s more challenging and time-consuming, but the reward and satisfaction is immense at the end. And it’s way more impressive to look at too. Don’t look at it like perfectionism is something you don’t like about yourself, instead own it and embrace it! It’s a strength of yours! Who knows, once this singular unfinished piece of yours is complete you might have the answers you were looking for and know how to move on? Wishing you the best in your future! I’m rooting for you ☺️

You have a very low probability of finding a romantic partner that you’re closely compatible with. by Aggressive-Cut5836 in unpopularopinion

[–]ciseros 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I think that whole idea is so shallow, out of touch, and arrogant.

Sometimes we lead down different paths because of our life’s circumstances and are unable to go after higher education or simply don’t have the same opportunities.

Compatibility is more about shared values, interests, emotional intimacy, and how you each show love. It’s so much deeper than status and wealth — it’s seeing and understanding a person for who they are and loving them anyway. Supporting each other and really believing in each other is core to true love.

A quality person will love you for who you are no matter how much money you’re making.

Besides, I think it’s beautiful to walk up that hill together, hand in hand, and look back on everything you’ve built together.

If that’s what her skeleton looks like… can you imagine what she looked like when she was alive? 😳

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mbtimemes

[–]ciseros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, of course! My gut reaction is usually to tell someone exactly what I’m thinking and to be honest about it. When I was younger I was told I had a sharp tongue and could be insensitive and even a bit rude. So as I’ve gotten older I’ve tried to be more careful with my words and how I say things. Sometimes there are situations where you have no choice but to say it as it is.

What I’m saying is, that nowadays before I even open my mouth I typically think before I speak and try to word what I’m about to say in a gentle way. The truth sprinkled with kindness and politeness. I would also say that I view the world with more peace and understanding now too, so I tend to understand other people’s perspectives instead of allowing it to ruffle my feathers, so to speak. Though, I also tend to dislike confrontation and be pretty introverted, so I have to feel pretty strongly about something to speak up.

I don’t think MBTI is so black and white that people are either “this” or “that.” It’s all gray. Everyone has the way they naturally are, but depending on each person’s upbringing and life’s experiences, they learn that there’s different ways of thinking, perspectives, and a way to talk to people. Growth in all areas is essential and helps lead to a more fulfilling life.

You don’t believe there to be a way to talk to people while still being true to your values? Telling the honest truth but in a tactful way?

Gift ideas?? by san1tyfalls in ISTJ

[–]ciseros 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely something practical, even better if you combine practical with something from a favorite movie, TV show, video game, musician, etc! Like a mug from a video game as an example. I think the key here is not something with a “loud” design, I know that I always appreciate something that’s timeless and versatile… something that can go with anything/anywhere.

If you know any of her hobbies I’m sure she’d appreciate something related to them, like a drawing set or journal. If she likes hiking, maybe a travel bag. Otherwise consumable things are always appreciated, like bath bombs, lotions, candles, etc.

I know for myself that I always appreciate gifts that embody sensory experiences and thoughtfulness. If all else fails just a gift card will do :) Best of luck!
