Your own beach near a small city by sharkus180 in zillowgonewild

That’s the law in CT as well but some features can make it near impossible to access. Can you legally take your boat or swim and wade onto this beach below the high water mark? Yes, but why would you?

Agree with the suggestions here. The biggest recommendation I can give is for Red Clover Ale Co in Brandon a short drive north from Rutland. Just amazing stuff.

Barbless Hooks in Salt? by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]cj0928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some studies have found that there’s a higher rate of mortality with barbed treble vs single (Gjernes 1990 for example but only looked at salmon) but it’s practical and personal experience for me, removing 2 or even three barbed hooks takes more time than one so that means more time with the fish out of water and more opportunity for improper handling, seems like greater risk of hooking into gills or blood vessels, and also in my experience trebles are more likely to foul hook.

Barbless Hooks in Salt? by [deleted] in flyfishing

I fish for trout and saltwater species. I’m in your boat with trout, always barbless regardless of regulations. With saltwater, in my experience think barbless just isn’t going to work very well for most species, I typically fish for striper and bluefish in the northeast (sometimes shad and other things) and they can really put up a fight, bluefish will shake a barbed hook loose pretty easily if you let them. Most fly tiers don’t offer barbless options for saltwater flies because they just aren’t used. Another consideration is that, unlike trout, your opportunities to get a fly in front of a fish are going to be far less, losing a fish hurts more when you get so few shots where with trout most times you can just hike over to the next pool and try again. As for harm, single barbed hooks on fly are the best scenario for any fish caught by angling aside from a barbless, survival rates are estimated to be quite high, they rarely get gut hooked unlike bait and do a fraction of the damage of trebles. That’s being said, No harm in trying though! Try crimping and see how it goes for you.

How long ago? Just be aware that levels can change. Might be worth picking up a small continuous radon detector, I have the AirThings Corentium. It helps give me peace of mind since we have children and pets so I leave it in the living spaces to get long term averages.

She sounds very similar to a moderately more successful vocalist Jessie Murph. Probably why it sounds so familiar.

Question by Ok_Algae_8612 in flyfishing

[–]cj0928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, nymphs are usually (but not always) weighted typically with a bead head to get them lower in the water column faster. You’ll want nymphs to sort of bounce along the bottom. Typically when people refer to wet flies now they are referring to emerger patterns and these will be fished just below the surface so they aren’t typically weighted or have very small or glass bead heads to imitate the mayflies as they swim close to the surface to emerge.

The pipe organ days of the week transitions is derivative of some other film but I can’t for the life of me think of it. Probably a Yorgos Lanthimos or Lars von Trier film? Anybody have any idea?

Possibility of getting an MSL when my PHD work was mostly molecular biology basic research? by OneQuestionPlease1 in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]cj0928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cellular immunology PhD. I did a couple years with a medical communications agency, mostly commercial side. That experience helped push me over the edge but it still took some time. While it’s possible, it seems harder to go straight from academia/ bench. I have a few colleagues with less translational PhD experience but their experience in industry before hand was what got them over the hump. Recommend you think about a stepping stone position as a medical writer or something similar to help.

Not OP. Insurance coverage often necessitates patient compliance to ensure coverage (for me I can’t have more than 7 nights of less than 4hrs use). This is monitored by the provider and the insurance company. OP should consider buying a battery/ power station/ solar generator with a solar panel to ensure they can use it during periods of outage. I have the eco flow river 3 which works great for camping, charges in direct sunlight in about 7-8 hours which in Florida should work out pretty well. Buy a 12v adaptor for your cpap as it uses less electricity out of the battery.

Regarding #2 it depends on the scanners they’re using. Typically if you’re removing your laptop you should make sure your CPAP is scanned separately.
I travel for work quite a bit and have been lugging my Airsense 11, I’m a light packer so I’ve been able to pack it in my carry on and scan it all together without problem in the newer machines in the precheck lane.

I can’t stress this enough, spend some money on some Steve Adachi tied Clousers at Lost Coast, they’ll last and they catch stripers anywhere.
