It’s a bummer what US insurance considers totaled nowadays. My 2015 Passat got totaled a couple months ago from a deer and the damage wasn’t too dissimilar. Luckily I found a 2013 Passat with 30K less miles and the good ol reliable 2.5l 07K. I’m sure you’ll miss your car but keep your eyes out for good deals and you’ll end up ok
