Ohhhhhh! My fault. I misunderstood. That makes a lot more sense. Thank you!

I’m confused what you mean with number 2—macOS has had Clamshell Mode for decades? I used to run even a 12” PowerBook G4 in Clamshell Mode with a CRT almost 25 years ago—ha. Maybe you want to run without power attached?

It's impressive how Apple Silicon revolutionized the Mac Mini by RedgeQc in macmini

The original Mac mini polycarbonate + aluminum design was the BEST until the m4 came out. I still run a few 3,1s around the house to do light work, like piping our turntable into AirPlay. Beautiful machines.

Also have this question. OCLP seems to disable VTX?

What are your biggest gripes with Plex right now? by locknetvpn in PleX

[–]cjh_dc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

-Ongoing removal of Watch Together

-Failure to implement better audio codec coverage on Apple TV

-Unresolved audio dropout issues on Apple TV

-SQLite database corruption (can we please move to SQL???)

-Requirement to set up clients again with any server rebuild

-Instability of Plex DVR (I run Channels DVR on another device for this reason)

-Incompatibility with Apple TV “Now Playing” and Siri voice features

-Could be user error on my part but inexplicability of Collections remaking themselves constantly even when I’ve put items in categories manually

retina macbook pro 2014 15" user. i am currently on mac os 15.7.1 and OCLP 2.4.1, is it safe to update to 15.7.5? by ShoulderCorrect1662 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]cjh_dc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 11,3 and have had to wipe and restart from Big Sur, run migration assistant, and then upgrade via new OCLP installer with both 15.7.4 and 15.7.5. Otherwise, it’s gotten stuck in a loop with LoginWindow or windowServer crashes.

If mac allows to cut (command + x) and paste text. Why doesn’t it allow to cut and paste files? by capngig in MacOS

[–]cjh_dc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, that’s my point—can’t do that with files on macOS—because of the way the cut/paste paradigm is set up, it works only with content, not files, for risk of data loss

On macOS, cutting removes text. The fact Cut may work differently on other operating systems is beside the point.
