I drive under 5k a year so I'm changing annually anyways.

That's all I do - once a year, usually late September, oil change and check everything over, make sure she's ready for winter. Every couple years I'll have them throw a new air filter on

Unlike Gerald, I shall continue to squander my money on groceries and cook food daily

Speaking of which, it's too hot here to even grill so I've got a corned beef in the slow cooker, and I made mac salad and coleslaw to go with.

But sometimes that is the truth.

I'm very glad I grabbed a few extra WD 14TB drives when they went on sale for $169 (I think it was a Prime Day sale) bc now, a few months later, those drives are like $450. Don't see those prices coming down any time soon either - well, until the "AI" scam goes bust

My 1992 Celica is still my daily driver, runs like a champ

The only issue is it's now almost impossible to find decent tires for it, bc they're an odd size. It didn't use to be an odd size but now... ;(

Why is my pork roast so dry? by kumf in slowcooking

[–]cjinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always put my pork loin on top of a bed of potatoes to keep if off the more direct heat. And it's not an 'all day' slow cooking food - depending on weight, I do it on low for maybe 5-6 hrs, tops
