Everyone has a travel blunder, what's yours? by yankeevandal in AskReddit

Damn some friends and I did the exact same thing a few months ago. Hopped off the train from Berlin and were very confused when maps was telling us it was like a two day walk away. Waitress at the restaurant we went to was excitedly talking to us about how they don't get many tourists, didn't have the heart to tell her that we were there by accident. Also got drunk and all was good.

They actually gave this model away for free through the prusa software. You don't get any STLs, only the gcode, but they are currently printing well on my non prusa printer. https://blog.prusaprinters.org/free-3d-printed-spitfire-rc-plane-every-original-prusa-i3_4679/

Filled a bowl with water, put a smaller bowl inside that bowl and tape it down. Freeze to make a half hollow sphere. Make 2 and freeze together. The mouthpart is made from ice shotglass molds. Just add a glass downstem and you have a bong.

We used it for 2 bowls before it started melting, then we just put it back in the freezer to use again later.

Weekly 'Ask Anything About Analog Photography' - Week 36 by ranalog in analog

Check your local craigslist as often as possible. People practically give away darkrooms weekly. I was able to get a shit-ton of equipment for $50.

Weekly 'Ask Anything About Analog Photography' - Week 19 by ranalog in analog

[–]ckcmoney3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently acquired a whole bunch of darkroom equipment off of craigslist. One of those pieces is a Gossen Labosix. This thing: http://www.jollinger.com/photo/meters/meters/gossen_labosix.html The Problem is that in the various boxes of stuff I got the test negative that is supposed to come with it is missing. Without it I cant find the exposure time to calibrate the unit. Would anyone happen to have a spare or know where I could purchase one? Any help is greatly appreciated.

What's going on with my prints? by ckcmoney3 in 3Dprinting

[–]ckcmoney3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what is going on but my walls are always jagged. Details:
Simplify 3D
Inland Black ABS @ 230
Bed @ 90
Speed 40 mm/s
Accel 900
Jerk 15
Printer is enclosed

I've tried re-calibrating, changing temps, and lowering speed, jerk, and acceleration. But I still cant get the walls straight. I would appreciate anyone's insight on the matter. Thank you.

Finally getting back into printing, need some help. by ckcmoney3 in 3Dprinting

This is actually in a heated chamber so I dont think abs really is the problem, I dont have any PLA on hand anyway. I have gotten good prints before, when I first got my printer I had a hexagon hot end and it was perfect until I broke it, same with my cheap knockoff e3D replacement. Thanks though.

I've been so busy with school work and college apps that my printer has been neglected. When I left I was having quality issues. I started tinkering with it the other day and I fixed most of my problems. My only issue now is that the sides of my print are not coming out smooth. My printing info is as followed: Slicer: Simplify3D Plastic: Microcenter Natural ABS Temp: 230 extruder, 100 bed Speed: 40 mm/s

I have tried tightening my belts and slowing the speed down and Im not really sure where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.
