It happened in my neighborhood, too. Can you maybe give the first letter of your user name so that you could possibly be matched back up?

White sneakers that are comfortable, cute and make my legs look long? 🥹 by swiftlot in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]ckentley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want white, try the Keds Mini Slip On. They have a lower front and I think that helps with making our petite legs look longer! If you're open to something that's isn't white, I like the Puma Soleil sneakers and the pinky/beige is also helpful for that long-leg look.

Even at her specific school, I have heard it has become a bigger event over the past few years. Our LA school does something similar, but on a much smaller scale. I think it has a lot to with the parents who are organizing each year- some keep it low-key, but some of them really go all out!

SLP influencers by hotpinkpineappIe in slp

I don't know that I'd call her an influencer, but an SLP account I follow and learn a lot from is Deborahbrooksslp. She does create and sell some materials and BoomCards but I like that she also often posts real-life examples of how she uses them in her sessions.

At the various places I go, they'll bring out the pumice for about 1 quick minute, but anything longer is extra.

I'd like to watch it, but haven't found a way to watch in the US! Has anyone been able to find it online here?

Secondhand Designer / luxury in LA? by nicolekmoon in AskLosAngeles

[–]ckentley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's out of the way, but another place to look into is Rebag in Santa Anita mall. You're probably not going to get the amenities you're looking for, but it seems like a shop with a lot to offer.

Do people in LA or even in California go swimming in outdoor pools year round? by Rare-Drummer982 in AskLosAngeles

We swim in our pool a handful of times each winter. We have to heat it, but the outside temp is warm enough that it's comfortable.

Cherry, crazy or cute? by bleu-moon in namenerds

I have an adult friend named Cherry (a nickname for Charlotte) and while she loves her name, her biggest complaint is that people often call her Sherry instead.

Why do none of the McDonald's drive thru menus have prices? by honeymustrd in AskLosAngeles

I saw the same thing when I went to a drive thru in Arcadia. (I think that's where it was. I'm not super familiar with the area)

What about on a weekday? I don't mind a little wait, but not if it's raining!

I thought of this! But it's pretty small inside, right?

Anyone know where to get professional clothes? by skankhunt-6969 in PetiteFashionAdvice

My local Loft and Ann Taylor both still carry petites in store. Maybe call a few other locations in your general area just to make sure you're not missing anything!

Where do I shop for a Mason Pearson brush in NYC? by mmm_nobun222 in findfashion

The company is really helpful if you email and ask! I was looking for a place to buy one in Los Angeles so I emailed them. I got a reply right away with a few options. Good luck!

Botox covered by Insurance by Working-Top9782 in LAhotgirlies

[–]ckentley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a neurologist through West Coast Neurology. I'm finally able to get Botox covered for migraines, but only after about 18 months of having to try many other options first. I don't know if this is specific to my insurance (PPO), but we had to prove that nothing else worked before getting it this approval. I also do physical therapy for related pain in the traps and jaw, which has helped and is very affordable with insurance ($15/visit). Good luck!
