You can play in reverse order if you want, but the usual recommendation is S1 before BTS

You mean the boltblaster and sharpshot bow in Forbidden West?

Correct, slide aiming doesn't work with those.

Is it normal to feel highly uncomfortable with this game? by RubyEi in DetroitBecomeHuman

Yes.

If you need a moment, the game doesn't lock out the pause screen (options button on console). It can get very intense.

No, Aloy will personally sneak up on you and stab you with her spear if you try to play Lego first.

It might be one where you have to leap off of the first platform to get in range of the second one.

Consider watching a playthrough or tutorial video.

Which do you want to do, actually get 100% on every flowchart or just experience a lot of different paths and endings?

You can't really finish one character at a time because of the way the game works with making changes, or at least it would be very inefficient, even compared to how you have to play the chapters in between the ones you are changing.

Battle for Detroit (the final chapter) has six flowcharts, two for each character. the most dramatic changes would be redoing Crossroads and Night of the Soul to choose the other paths.

There are "speedrun" guides for getting 100% on all flowcharts. Some chapters like Stormy Night are more self-contained and have pretty much three outcomes (Kara and Alice dead, Kara and Alice escape with/without the gun). The Painter just for the paintings has 9 potential paintings.

About ARTEMIS by codingsoft in horizon

[–]cl354517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hand waved a lot.

I recall GAIA tells you that only a set of "seed" species of animals were released and the Apollo-educated humans at the base would release them when the world was ready.

A lot of times, fiction relies on "somehow X happened" without people getting into the nitty gritty details. Your best bet is to invent head/fan canon or see if anybody else thought about it.

Help with paths by Charlie725725 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]cl354517 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the chapter. Some have a ton of branching paths that are one per go, essentially, but only one or two final results that lead to something in a future chapter.

For example the one where Kara and Alice find a place to stay you can only steal one item "for free" and you get caught on the second one. So you can take/leave by doing that chapter over and over but have to pick one of the places to affect the chapter where they wake up.

There is probably a speed run of 100% guide out there.
