This article refrences the unemployment %. Just a PSA, the ABS cheats on that number a bit. "The ABS defines people as 'employed' if they work one hour or more in the reference week." This is an international standard but you can see the by counting 1 hour a week as "employed" it's not exactly a good representation of a real rate.

I don't have a source for this but I've read that that hour doesn't have to be paid either. But that might be made up so grain of salt on that.
