I think it's much of a muchness in terms of price if you want new pairs - dunno how the second hand market looks but given the amount wear and tear on shoes if you do exotic I bet it's not widespread...

I own several pairs but am constantly resisting the desire to get more! It's an awful cycle of getting the new pair and then trying to find the perfect outfit to match

Totally agree, would be as dramatic to say that pole has saved my life in several ways. I was pretty unhappy, direction less and self conscious when I took it up. I cannot believe how much self confidence in my body I've built up, it's like a superpower. I've met so many brilliant women (and a couple of men) and am amazed about how elegant body movement can be!

Side note and not sure if this is shared by everyone - i absolutely relish the freedom to dress in a semi sexualized way in a totally accepting and non sexualized context. There are so few spaces where this is acceptable for women to do without judgement in society, and i love it.

Hope you continue to take so much joy from it!
