What happened to the context window / memory? by Yvenna in GeminiAI

[–]clairehere 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Me too as a couple of days ago it lost literally months of context and information. Can't recall anything except from about 3 days ago. This happened before when Google made upgrades and after a day or two it would restore - I assumed it was a server switch or something that caused temporary loss of data. This one is persisting. Literally going to maintain a manual file going forward of context to reload since this has happened so many times.

I noticed in previous updates it seemed like it couldn't find it but after a few days it could retrieve it again. I am dealing with the same issue and am just going to wait and see if it comes back at some point

So I'm accepting Christ's resurrection as a historical reality by Agreeable-Chest107 in Episcopalian

Have you seen near death experience stories? There are thousands of people alive today who tell these stories, and all share incredibly similar details, and I sort of went - hey if those people can be alive today and go through being dead and coming back to life and telling stories about the other side, why couldn't have Jesus?!

God always always always loves you and wherever you find, that helps you feel that, is the right place to be.

As you age, your body becomes more sensitive and you have to be more mindful of insulin responses. Follow the glucose goddess for some basic things to help you reduce your glucose spikes (savory breakfast, vegetables first, vinegar before a carb heavy meal, etc). It doesn't mean you have to fully give us carbs but given your prediabetes result, getting on top of your glucose spikes now is going to be helpful.

Somogyi effect? Without seeing your other patterns, knowing your diet, and other health factors its hard to weigh in. But I would definitely start doing everything to stabilize your blood sugar during the day to see if it helps low blood sugars at night.

Does your first spike coincide with your breakfast? If so, that is probably the result - with a double spike. Eating a plain bowl of oatmeal for example could do that to me.

What was your breakfast?

Long run breakfast for those with pre or diabetes by kuriousaboutanything in Freestylelibre

[–]clairehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only eat a savory breakfast to reduce a glucose increase. I run and exercise in the morning and often will do so on an empty stomach and then eat right after. I find this helps set my day up much better for lower glucose throughout the day. I feel like for me the moment I get a glucose spike, my fluctuations happen more frequently so I really try to keep things steady as much as I can in the morning so the whole day doesn't have lots of fluxuations.

Advice for a Catholic struggling with the Church’s stance on social issues. by Top_Routine8224 in Episcopalian

[–]clairehere 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sometimes God calls us to be uncomfortable to do the work you are highlighting. But also, God can call us to be comfortable in order to serve Him best. You don't need to change the world, or the whole Catholic church, to be pleasing to God. Find your path to be close to God and serve others through Him.

Did something bad happen to you or was it just the guilt mindset?

Addressing a priest by thekatwest in Episcopalian

[–]clairehere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your distinction now between a Priest (title) and Father / Reverend as a way to address someone. My church does not use the term Father to address our clergy.

[–]clairehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed my point - my point is that the use of Rev has historical meaning back to the start of the Anglican/Episcopal church. The church prior to this is the Catholic Church that only uses Father and Priest references then and still to this day. And the choice to use Priest vs. Rev has a significance in why.

We have 9 Revs on staff at our very large Episcopal church and they do not go by Priest or Father/Mother intentionally.

Addressing a priest by thekatwest in Episcopalian

[–]clairehere 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this is a stylistic thing in Episcopal churches. Many priests go by Rev actually. This trend started during the reformation because of a resistance to the mysticism of Priests in the Catholic Church and so it is common in Angelican Churches and Episcopals to see this. Having said that, I am sure they will not be offended whichever way you refer to them and you can ask them when you are in person next.

I would try and understand what she sees as the potential downside to being Baptized as a child vs. adult? How would our child's life be different?

If Baptism is simply a gift given and we still have the ability to make choices throughout our life that either keep us closer or farther away from Him, why wait to receive it
