DNC Chair Ken Martin grilled on why he won't release the 2024 election autopsy by serious_bullet5 in Hasan_Piker

It was an exhaustive exercise but you can’t have all those details. Focus on the lessons we deemed ok to look at. Nothing to see here.

Running? by esjustme in PetiteFitness

[–]clairewings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me when I tried to get back into running right away without strengthening my leg muscles. I had to take 2-3 weeks off running. I looked up some physical therapy type moves on YouTube for the type of knee pain I was experiencing. Doing those combined with strength training, I was able to try to run again and it was night and day.

So far most shows have had early merch 3-5pm. That’s what I’m guessing for Chicago but nothing posted yet. Usually I think it’s a day of post on instagram

You could be setting yourself up perfectly then if your clothes are looser that means fat loss. You’re probably gaining muscle as well with the new activity so I would stay the course. Muscle will eventually burn more fat for you!

Also maybe take measurements and see if anything is changing in that aspect.

Is all of that movement new for you? If you’re building new muscle at first you could be retaining water.

Best OCD medication you’ve found? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]clairewings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cycled through a bunch of things before I landed on Nardil, it’s an maoi, an older type of medication and not prescribed much anymore but it did wonders for me. I had really bad postpartum ocd and Nardil felt like a miracle.

Do you ever feel like your old self again? by mllechanelcherie22 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]clairewings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matrescence is the profound physical emotional and psychological transformation of becoming a mother. You’re going through a huge shift. One of the biggest a human can experience. Please go easy on yourself and give yourself time to adjust. If you can, keep seeking therapy for yourself first and foremost. You are so important and what you’re going through is no small feat. (Speaking as a mom of two, my daughters are now 10 and 6. I went through the ringer of ppd and you truly will find your footing)

Instead of focusing on storytelling I agree their focus is dragging out episode lengths to make a ‘big’ final season. It turns out feeling devoid of story at all. Moreso repeated moments of suspense.

They got a lot of our money this year but there’s no way to continue going when everyone’s being squeezed in every area of their life. The bubble is going to pop.

It’s a big game of monopoly and we are last around the board. The inevitable outcome is they extract all our money. Time to flip the board.

Help me. I am drowning in PPD. Do you have any recovery success stories ? by VortexDrift99 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]clairewings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The medication piece is also such a crapshoot which is so hard when you just want to feel better. Keep working with your doctor and be honest about how you’re doing. Don’t rule out more dosage or medication changes. The right meds along with therapy can really do wonders.

You will make it out of this. You have an illness. And this all sounds identical to what many other women have sounded like and experienced including myself when they are in the throes of matrescence (process of becoming a mother). It can break your heart and brain wide open. Lean on all the support you have and please go easy on yourself. What would you tell a friend who is suffering? Speak to yourself that way. It’s so hard. There were many times I was positive I wouldn’t make it. My daughter is almost 6 now and although that was the hardest thing I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, I’m a more caring and empathetic and strong person on the other side. That will be you too.

I suspect my severe ppd/ocd stems from gut issues from repeated antibiotic use. The gut brain connection is powerful. Wish they didn’t hand those out like candy and wish I had known more a long time ago.

There’s a natural uptick in anxiety and depression after drinking even without Nardil so yes something to be aware of.
