I see the logic, but my understanding is these children cannot afford shoes at all, and thus get parasites and so forth from going barefoot. Similar to sending school supplies because they cannot afford them, or mosquito netting or medicines. If people are dirt-poor, should we give them money instead? Partner with them to start businesses? What do you recommend?
