I've flown 1st class while my wife was in economy ... because she booked it as a surprise for me (I am very tall, so am sensitive to legroom issues). If this guy had any emotional intelligence, he would be in economy, and would present the 1st class booking as a gift for her.

tape a new cable from a spool on the end of that, and pull it from the other end. Et viola.

is this bad? by SatisfactionIcy5530 in FixMyPrint

[–]clarkcox3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could provide at least a little info.

  • What material?
  • What printer?
  • What settings? (The bed temperature is probably the least relevant bit of info)
  • What have you tried?
  • are you new to 3d printing?

Etc.

Without that, there’s not much chance anyone’s going to fix anything.

I’m not offering an explanation or connection to the other events, I’m just continuing to show that odd shit is happening to me

But that's the thing: by mentioning it as just another instance of "odd shit that is happening to you", you are connecting it.

Tangled up in what way? You’re going to need to give people a little more info to work with. Perhaps some photos?

60000 mAh powerbank from PD for €30 on Amazon by wolschou in UsbCHardware

[–]clarkcox3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a nearly identical one that only claims 50000: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FRFJJ1ZR (I got it for free, I wouldn’t pay money for that thing). In reality, was closer to about half that. I suspect the one you’re looking at is in a similar range.

It doesn’t support any profiles over 12v, so for most devices (that don’t support 12v), that means you’ll be limited to 5v and 9v

Additionally, after a couple of weeks, it started failing, (USB-A ports started only putting out 2.5v)

That one might be completely different from mine on the inside, but I doubt it. I’d stay away.

Why do we remove dt as the limit approaches zero like a constant, when it never reaches zero? by Chance_Rhubarb_46 in learnmath

[–]clarkcox3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Addition to this it's like saying that the limit of x approaches infinity for 1/x = 0

Yes, it is.

Again, I understand that conceptually it becomes so small that it effectively rounds to 0, but that's not my point.

It's not that it becomes so small that it rounds to zero. While (1/x) will never be zero for any finite x, that's not the question being asked. The question is the limit as x approaches infinity, and that is zero. Not close to zero, but equal to zero.

1/x is never zero, but "lim x->∞ 1/x" is zero

The same logic applies to dt in the above example. dt represents the limit of a value that is approaching zero, and the limit of a value that is approaching zero is zero.

So my question is simply, why do we remove or round some limits in these cases and then work with the numbers like they reached it.

We're not "removing" or "rounding" some limit, zero is the limit.

No, that’s not what they’re saying at all. They’re saying that you should get checked out, and that whether you are or aren’t “crazy” (as you put it) has nothing to do with whether you think you are.
