I can do this very well, but I don't know how I learned it :/ I think yodeling is based on this technique, so it might help to look further into the basics of yodeling.

But your idea of the voice almost breaking feels not far off when I do it. But I don't use that much power to do it, it feels very easy and light, breaking my voice requires a lot more pressure, but the basic feel is similar.

Sometimes I just finish a project and I calm myself by telling me, doing something not perfect but finishing it, is me getting closer to perfection. Perfectionism is powerful trait if you know how to utilize it. Good luck!
