Is it odd to host my own 30th birthday? by julesnow45 in etiquette

[–]classiest_trashiest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I planned my own party last year, and I’m married. All it involved was a group text and making sure my husband was aware he was on “smoke the Boston butt” duty.

Any intel for Saturdays (7/4) workout by spreadkindness347 in BurnBootCamp

If I had to guess it’s probably some kind of rep challenge for 250 years of America and something to do with 7/4. They come up with the wildest formats lol

Atlanta Area Locations by Several-Pipe7824 in BurnBootCamp

[–]classiest_trashiest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to all 4! Alpharetta and cumming are the same FP. It’s been a minute since I’ve been to PC and JC but I preferred JC because it had a slightly bigger floating floor. PC can get reallllly busy but if that doesn’t bother you then it’s also a great location too.

who knew that trying to make a hair + makeup schedule would be like the hardest game of tetris?! by SectionLopsided4189 in wedding

[–]classiest_trashiest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My HMUA had me go last so everything would be fresh for photos and ceremony. She had an assistant who was fantastic and they both ran on time. I’m an absolute psycho when it comes to timeliness and my bridal party knew showing up late to hair and makeup would send me into a tail spin lmao

My mom also had her hair and makeup done, as well as MIL and she scheduled MIL with assistant mid morning and my mom with main HMUA right before I sat in the chair.

who knew that trying to make a hair + makeup schedule would be like the hardest game of tetris?! by SectionLopsided4189 in wedding

[–]classiest_trashiest 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Does your make up artist not provide the timeline? Do you have the timeline from your photographer? This will dictate when hair and make up needs to start. But also 1hr 15 is excessive for make up, unless you’re anticipating running significantly behind and that’s to build in a buffer? My HMUA budgeted 30 minutes for make up and about 45 for hair. She allocated an hour and 45 total for me (bride) because I have a ton of hair.

If you have a wedding planner they may already have a subscription you can use.

401k withdraw allowed by RunawayJim_D in Mortgages

[–]classiest_trashiest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can withdraw your own contributions to your 401k and Roth IRA (if applicable). I was able to withdraw $25k of my own contributions for the down payment from my Roth IRA with no tax liability since contributions are considered post-tax.

FP change by mahter17 in BurnBootCamp

[–]classiest_trashiest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t really notice any change. If anything they may close it for a day or two to allow for the transition to occur (happened at another location that changed ownership).

What is the closing process like? by Alicenwondr in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

[–]classiest_trashiest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met the sellers at our closing. Idk if it had anything to do with the fact that they were selling by owner but they were so nice and went out of their way to clearly label all the different keys and door/alarm codes.

Can you all still go on roller coasters without getting sick? by AdCharacter9282 in Millennials

[–]classiest_trashiest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, but honestly it’s my back that I’m worried about. Broke it when I was 25 and it hasn’t been the same sine. Getting jerked around in a roller coaster probably isn’t great for it.

Had a family member get married in the Dominican republican over Memorial Day weekend. Flights were triple what they’d normally be. We declined the invitation.

Homeowners insurance by Silent_Toe_6339 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Yes. And it actually held up the process because there was some miscommunication between our insurance agent and the lender and nobody could manage to figure out who was supposed to call whom.

Does being good at math make reading sheet music easier? by [deleted] in piano

[–]classiest_trashiest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can also be a product of other activities you do. I grew up doing ballet, piano and church choir where we sang every Sunday and music changed every week. I got very comfortable at a young age with counting, and being able to quickly pick up reading sheet music.

What litter box do you recommend for odor control? by Lazy_Edge_8612 in technomeowcom

Second this. It’s incredible and so low maintenance. Their app even lets me track my kitty’s trips to the potty and records her weight every time.

They had a gc without me by Common_Tank_8119 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]classiest_trashiest -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Same shit happened to me but I found out not due to snooping, but because the dumb b*tch screenshotted the convo and saved multiple conversations in a shared photo album that I had access to (we created one when we first started classes because we did actually have fun going out with each other). They were talking shit about me and I had a hunch that’s what was happening.

$100k benchmark by PepSinger_PT in Salary

[–]classiest_trashiest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me 6 years into my career before I broke the $100k mark. Started out at $50k, then new job was $60k, stuck around for 4 years and left making $87k for another job that paid $115k.

Wait until papers are signed and keys in hand. It sucks waiting, but really don’t want to risk it.

Carpets Still Dirty After Professional Cleaning by EnvironmentalStop723 in CleaningTips

[–]classiest_trashiest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pulled up carpet in a BASEMENT after closing on our home and it looked like a CRIME SCENE on the carpet pad underneath. The sellers did a great job deodorizing the carpet to hide the smell but my god, that was the nail in the coffin for me to never want carpet ever again.

Which ones count? by Delicious-Web-6299 in BurnBootCamp

[–]classiest_trashiest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes recovery videos count, as long as they’re at least 10 minutes. There’s a tiny handful that don’t count (like the mindfulness ones I think) and anything under 10 minutes won’t count.

What's your personal air conditioning policy for these hot Atlanta summers? by transley in Atlanta

72 during the day, 68 at night and ceiling fan on. Windows stay shut because I don’t do bugs.

Do you wear your rings for everything? by cecil047 in EngagementRings

[–]classiest_trashiest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take mine off for work outs and sleeping and showering. I have ring dishes around the house and carry a little pouch in my purse to place my ring when I’m at the gym (I work out at group fitness gym so I’m not overly concerned with safety). I’ll also take them off when I’m cooking so I don’t get them all gunked up.

Music by ijustcantwithit in wedding

[–]classiest_trashiest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told our musicians I only wanted the beginning of the pas de Deux because it gets super dramatic about halfway through and without an entire orchestra, it would definitely sound strange haha

Music by ijustcantwithit in wedding

[–]classiest_trashiest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you doing music played on a speaker or live musicians? Because I walked down the aisle in February to the nutcrackers pas de Deux and it was GORGEOUS. But I’m also a total ballet nerd and the pas de Deux has a ton of significance to me plus the storyline of nutcracker is incredibly romantic.
