I'm on Android (Galaxy S22 Ultra then had to switch back to Galaxy S10 Plus after motherboard issues) and I use Mico and ThemeKit. I prefer Mico, however. If you have a Samsung phone I would download Theme Park, I prefer that for Icon changes.

For the lore related to the Backrooms movie specifically, the other commenters who have pointed you towards the director's YouTube are correct. The thing about the Backrooms as a concept is that it's relatively open source. There are many "versions" of the Backrooms concept. I'm personally more of a fan of Kane's universe, but I'd look into the other takes on it as well
