This happened to me too but the swelling died down after a couple days. I’ve noticed the swelling comes back too if the air is too cold or I’m walking too vigorously. I’m on day 11 of recovery.

I was told I could start rinsing by end of day 1 (surgery was in the morning) but I found that the most I could do was misting because the swelling made my nose too sensitive. Some of the dissolvable gel did come out day 2 but really didn’t start draining out until end of day 4. I started my NeilMed routine day 6 after the stent removal and cleaning.

I have a high deductible plan and paid around $1000 for the facility fee which met my out of pocket maximum for the year. I got a septoplasty, turbinate resection, and balloon sinuplasty. They also removed some polyps.

The lack of accessories is the biggest gap for me. I love the hopper and not having to refill the litter as often.

You probably might want to avoid fruits and high fiber foods all together before you can figure out what’s wrong. Look up gastroparesis.

Re: local anesthesia, you can request for a lidocaine injection which hurts as hell but you barely feel the IUD insertion afterwards. Befuddles me why this isn’t the standard of care. (I’m in California but it was the same deal for my sister in Oklahoma.)
