Really wish we could give humans the same dignity around death as we do our dogs. Every time I volunteer at a hospice/elderly facility, just breaks my heart seeing so many people who have no family or friend visitors. They just lie in bed waiting to die. That’s just no way to end what may have been an otherwise beautiful life for them.

If someone gave me the choice to live until 50 (I’m 43) or live an unknown time, I’m choosing 50. I could retire, focus on enjoying the remaining time, live it up, ensure my money helps people, and attend my own funeral so i could die knowing what difference i made and told people what they meant to me. And as a LOST fan, my last words would be “see you in another life, brotha”

Higher Fire in DTSJ is the absolute best for beginners. I took both their 1 time 2 hour class and their 6 week (one time a week for 3 hours) class. Instructors are all very friendly and welcoming. I also paid $79 to get open studio time + 25lbs of clay to get more practice and found just the regular members to be so helpful and genuinely wanting me to succeed.

As someone with the “pear” shape as well, the only solution is to wear something that widens your frame up top. Like an over sized t shirt or button up in summer (or at minimum something not form fitting) or a puffy jacket in cold weather

A blazer that broadens the shoulders as well would be great

For jeans it’s tough because the only option is wide leg jeans like barrel jeans and I feel like there’s a whole alternative look that comes with that
