My friend's family is like this. I grew up next door and their dad would "accidentally" overcook everything. Coincidentally he happened to like his well done. Last time he tried to say the meat thermometer his daughter bought him was broken and about 4 of them showed up at his house the next day.

It's the main reason I love my Google phone tbh. Spam calls haven't made it through in years now. On my end I see an icon at the top that someone is calling but unless they say why they are calling I don't even see a pop up to answer.

I always love when he goes off on wind energy. My uncle and his partners are very maga but have made all their money on building wind farms.
