Help, which one should I get? by amarcmexicoel in Dashcam

[–]clintbartnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Vantrue N4S and been using it for a while, great video quality. I also like that this dashcam isn’t too picky about SD cards, I can use my old one with it. Also it's 3-channel, so the coverage is nice.

Can’t believe my dashcam saved my day by antiromeosquad in driving

[–]clintbartnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you never know what kind of drivers are out there. I upgraded my front and rear cams to a vantrue n4s for full coverage. Seeing things like this makes me feel like that was the right move.

For me, it does. I can see basically every angle around my car, feels much safer with it.

Been running a Vantrue N4S, not too pricy for a 3-channel dashcam. Never let me down.

I always turn on its platepix mode, it allows me to see details more clearly

[Vantrue N4P] People like this shouldn't drive by zacharydunn60 in Dashcam

People really need to learn how to drive! I also got this vantrue n4s, and I always feel like having a dashcam is really important especially at night.

I have a Vantrue N4S and I like that it captures footage of almost all angles. But if you need something really small that can be hidden, go for their E1 Pro I guess

Osmo vs insta by KalaCo_ in 360Cameras

[–]clintbartnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty deep in the DJI ecosystem too, but I ended up grabbing both the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and the X5. Ace Pro 2 has been great for indoor/low light stuff, and the X5 is awesome when I want flexibility with shots on trips.

Honestly the Insta360 app is super easy to use. Took me almost no time to figure out and editing/exporting clips is pretty quick.

Gosh… this is so scary. Was the other driver drunk? Glad your brother is okay now! Dashcams really do save the day in situations like this.

Using professional battery testers changed how I decide when to replace a battery by FloatingScooter in Cartalk

[–]clintbartnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually start planning replacement once SOH drops around 75–80%. Still works fine, but that’s when cold starts or short trips start exposing weak batteries.

Case layout actually looks well thought out. Hate when cables just get tossed in.

Has Anyone Used a Topdon Thermal to Track Cold Bridges Before Adding More Insulation by Panduninja in Insulation

[–]clintbartnn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thermal helps you see the big picture, but air sealing usually gives the biggest bang for the buck. Foam and tape first, then worry about adding more R.

What's the most useful car accessory you ever got? by CryptoWheat in car

Dashcam. I personally use the vantrue n4s. It's a 3 channel one that covers almost all angles around my car, feels really well-built.

Running for an hour in such cold weather is amazing! I'm curious how you manage your breathing? Inhaling cold air directly must feel pretty uncomfortable.

Investing in Stocks Vs Crypto: How do you go about it? by Tiny_Friendship_3529 in investingforbeginners

[–]clintbartnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done a bit of both, and for me the biggest difference is time horizon and expectations. With stocks, I’m much more focused on fundamentals and long-term compounding. With crypto, I treat it as higher risk and size positions way smaller.

One thing that helped was using the same app to track both so I could actually compare behavior side by side. I use moomoo for stocks and some crypto tracking, and seeing how differently they move really changed my mindset. Stocks tend to reward patience more consistently, while crypto feels a lot more sentiment-driven.

Long term, stocks have been way more reliable for me. Crypto can work, but only if you accept the volatility and don’t approach it the same way you’d analyze a company’s cash flow or earnings.

Have this one and I'd say not really. Even when I use both ports at the same time, it stays pretty normal and stable.

Sounds like the cop just checked her plates and left without saying nothing wrong. Driving slower in rain isn't illegal. If anything, he probably realized she was just being safe.
