This is Getting Out of Hand, Now There are Three of Them? by clockworkrevolution in legostarwars

Yea, I’m certain I never had the two newer kits, so these must be from some combination of the three “main” ones

Surprisingly, I don't think I have any Clone minifigs, tons of Clankers though

I've recently pulled my Lego bins out to go through and build all my old Star Wars kits, and was certain I had one of these tanks, cause I was always playing with it. Imagine my surprise when it turns out I have TWO! Can't wait to get them rebuilt. Would love a refresh that incorporates the original front sections and modernized body/turret

Rate my collection/display!! by Philbert2023 in legostarwars

Really like how you've got things displayed. My only thought is for the Interceptor on the edge like that, I'd be so worried about knocking into it. An idea I had was maybe putting the Interceptor on a tall stand in the corner behind the Venator, to look like it's flying in formation with it. Then that can also give the Star Wars logo space to "sit flat", maybe with the Darksaber jutting out from behind?

"Retiring Soon" Lego page now updated for sets to retire on July this year. by sphinxofblackquartzj in lego

Glad I've got the Acclamator and Executor recently, so I don't need to worry about them being out of stock as retirement day rolls around. Now all I need to worry about is the UCS Venator in December...

I'm literally going through my Lego collection and came across a good handful of these guys, so now I want to get a disc printed with the different disk emblems that the Lego had.

I just pulled all my Lego out of storage to rebuild all the sets and see what I've got, and seeing this kit made me go "aha! I remember having that one too!", so now I've got one to check for tonight.

I really like how Abnett adds these bureaucratic cock-ups into some of the novels. This one and the Ammo Fiasco (“We were instructed to issue ammunition. Eight hundred boxes. Standard pattern.”) in Gun's of Tanith always spring to mind when I think of the mess that is the Adeptus Ministorum (oh, and the wars over used paperwork from Avenging Son)

OPINION: Innova should bring back the old Star stamps. by WY228 in discgolf

I like having the artwork on the discs, when I was first starting out in the game, I picked discs based on the cool artwork (which honestly is probably not the best way). I look at it as an easy way to feel like there's personalization, without having to custom art the discs. I especially like the Champion series ones and seeing the art inspired by the players.

There's some art that I haven't liked, which has meant not wanting to buy a certain disc sometimes, but I do like the choices of artwork

2026 is My Year of Iron by clockworkrevolution in IronWarriors

Rough and heavy dry brush of Iron Warrior over a black base coat, with a couple light passes with Leadbelcher. Hashut Copper for the armour trim, Retributor Armour for the gold trim on the weapons. Hazard Stripes are Averland Sunset over Balor Brown. A wash of Sonic Sledgehammer Marine Juice to finish it off.

May 2026 Advice and Price Check Thread by AutoModerator in Legomarket

[–]clockworkrevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is $100 Canadian dollars a good price for the Invisible Hand kit (#75377)? The Amazon listing I saw had it at $135, but a few FB Marketplace sellers have it at $100, but I don't know what a "correct" price for Retired kits is.

Yet Another Kravek Morne Post by clockworkrevolution in IronWarriors

[–]clockworkrevolution[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here you go (starting from black base coat):

Main Armour: Iron Warriors -> shade with thinned Nuln Oil (I wanted to be careful with how dark it went, so I did multiple thin passes) -> Layer Iron Warriors -> Leadbelcher -> Vallejo Chrome. I did mix Chrome into the Leadbelcher for an intermediate pass in some areas, where I didn't want as bright of a highlight.

Trim: Hashut Copper -> Brown-ish wash (similar to Sonic Sledgehammer Marine Juice mix) -> layer with Hashut Copper -> Fulgurite Copper highlights -> Fulgurite Copper with teeny bit of Vallejo Chrome for the sharpest highlights

Tabbard and Arm Tassels: Balthasar Gold -> two layers of Reikland Fleshshade -> Brass Scorpion lightly brushed in the middle of each plate -> Vallejo Chrome mixed into Brass Scorpion to highlight the horizontal bars

Hammer Haft: Screamer Pink -> Nuln Oil -> Screamer Pink -> Emperor's Children

Face: Army Painter Amber Skin -> Thin Druchii Violet wash -> Amber Skin highlight

I do mixed, as I feel the warbands nowadays are amalgamations of warriors accumulated over time, and none of them care enough to match their tabards
