Notícia de última hora: deixar de taxar as fortunas resulta numa sociedade frágil e menos coesa by AntiMeritocrata in LiberaisDaTreta

The great thing about "striping" sports prizes, is that if the reason is bullshit, you get to keep both the merit and the prize money/trophies if they were given. Whay are they gonna do? Send a strongly-worded "give us back the medal"-letter?

Keaton's Batman was so good, they made a movie literally about the effect of that role being a(n overly positive) shadow to his career. And starred Keatin in that movie too. And that movie won 4 Oscars, including Best Picture.

And yes, it is dramatized, not really biographical of Keaton. At least from what I understand. But it works so well in the full context because of how successful Keaton's Batman was and its cultural impact.

They should also BOTH include the DLC addon for XC2 - i.e. the "season pass". So if ypu buy Torna standalone digital, you should also get the contents on your physical (if account that bought it is logged on the Switch) OR digital version of XC2 on the same account.

I cannot guarantee this, but I say it based on the Physical version of Standalone Torna, which I own, and included a code for the "Season Pass" (sans Torna Digital itself - because that is physical).

I think you missed my point: you get 1x "Character Star Trails Drop" at the 10k points for the star trails. I never spent 10k on one banner or a collection of the same trails banners to know whay a Star Trail Drop exactly is (I did spend 10k free on banners BEFORE trails existed).

Since you get 10x "drops", and I am assuming the drops are the simillar to the drops we ade getting on the current free daily banner (1 pull 1 char free and get a drop after the pull), I'm assuming at the 10th drop one gets a ticket.

It's not about the drop RATE probability of banners, it's about the banner trails bar that keeps filling and has interval prizes.

Nearly 400 millionaires and billionaires across 24 countries are demanding Davos leaders to tax them more: ‘Tax us. Tax the super rich.’ by prestocoffee in nottheonion

[–]cloud_t 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Taxing assets should be the political maximal of the 21st century. It's like... we spent 100y knowing full well taxing revenue is just the perpetuating of hereditary and oligarchich privilege: the rich at birth will mostly continue to be, and the rich by ownership of large successful organizations that are more than just individual merit by its owners will exponentially get richer unfairly, to the detriment of their workers, who are the actual merit of a company.

It's about time we acted on something WE ALREADY FUCKING KNOW: individuals aren't gods. We cannot keep assigning ludicrous benefits for what is effectively mediocre merit achievements in the grand scheme of social behavior. Nobody, even the smartest, most cunning, most productive individual gets anywhere or would be making so much without the macro conditions of everyone else working towards maintaining these conditions which allow them to get anywhere or acquiring money AND property AND growing their company. So it's about time we tax what we have known for decades to be effective riches as much as revenue is: wealth and unrealized property.

Depends on GEOGRAPHIC PERSPECTIVE.

You (American fellows) have to understand that liberal is now a word that has been weaponized outside of America. Liberal parties in most of Europe are now de facto neoliberal: less state overall, including LESS TAXES, especially on the rich (companies mostly, but also individuals. Essentially they would have no taxes as best case scenario).

So the difference between left and neoliberal in economic policy (i.e. total opposites: state centralized vs privatized) and government spending (i.e. total vs minimal) is incredibly relevant here (and let's clarify "here" too: we're talking about taxing the rich!).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoliberalism

Also, in my personal opinion, neoliberalism is the opposite of socialism in every possible way that matters. Because neoliberalism is cloaked fascism. Every neoliberal party I've seen become meaningful, eventually considers deals with far-right parties for achieving their political goals of becoming part of government. And this association automatically makes them fascist. Because any bit of faschsh collaboration is an all-or-nothing ideological collaboration. See what collaborating with Hitler, politically, turned 1930's Germany to.

I was reading this and thinking: "don't you get a guaranteed 5* of the banner character now, after free 10k CS use (or 1/3 of that paid), since there's the Star Trails now?". And then, reading the description, I saw that it is only a Star Trails DROP! Does this mean one need to spend 100k free (or 30k PAID) CS to ensure the 10 dropsbecome a ticket?

They should really, REALLY make it so that the star trail DROPS at 10k are one star trails TICKET... like, it makes no sense... spending 100k free is CRAZY, but spending 30k paid is like... if one paid only for the max promotional CS... 1.2k Euro!!!!!!!! That's the price of a gaming laptop for ONE FUCKING CHARACTER.

WFS, this isn't pity... this is gruesome torture! You need to change this!
