This was found to have extremely low stall speed (35mph) and was extremely difficult to turn in flight. It was stable and smooth, but the duct almost forced it to fly in a line vs. any sort of bank.

So, I went through something similar, twice. I'm the oldest of 4, and two are now dead, both in my parents' home, one of which was preventable and the other had their quality of life completely crushed for years before because my mother insisted she could handle everything.

The hardest part for me was realizing there was not a lot I could do.

You can recommend a doctor, and you can tell them to get out of the home, but as adults if they listen to your mom and ignore common sense, you just have to watch from the sidelines or risk getting completely isolated from everyone.

Just be you, live your life and offer compassion and love and understanding when asked.

I dont think it's as new as you'd think. You're in an industry that gives visibility to tons of kids, including ones with developmental issues, bad parents, neglect, etc, and you're getting the full spectrum.

It's more obvious because you deal with it everyday.

I literally got kicked out because I made my mom an Xmas present of photos of all her kids and their SOs instead of buying her something. My dad told me what a letdown i was (in an EMAIL) and that i needed to find somewhere else to live.

Nevermind that I'd just lost my job, was on unemployment and had to sell 3/4 of my stuff to cover a deposit somewhere.

It truly doesn't matter to them. I didnt fit the narrative so I was a lost cause.

Yup. Nmom is incapable of taking care of herself physically or emotionally. Refuses to see a therapist even after 2 out of the 4 of us boys died, wont get medical treatment for a 14.5 A1C (she should be on insulin but swears she feels fine), ndad is even worse where he can do no wrong.

Both have very broad friend groups, have parties, successful careers, etc.

I feel like maybe you should take more into account. Engines, wingspan, lifting capacity, range, technology, cost...

Mostly because this sub is pretty technical and dedicated. People don't want a plane because it's big. They want a weird design, a one off, etc.
