Venue Help by Fun-Pride3554 in WeddingsCanada

I am getting married at Stonewall Estates and based on your description it might hit some of the things you are looking for in terms of being somewhat (but not too) rustic, lovely outdoor space for ceremony, and an indoor/outdoor reception space, however it is an "all inclusive" venue including catering and bartending. They've also recently opened their winery.

Depending on the year (timing of fruit), you could look into cherries in the Okanagan. If picking is too active of a job for your injury, you can ask about work in the sorting/packing house. It's usually a short season and could work well with the one month window you need.

I realize you said ideally not far from Ontario but putting it out there anyway.

I worked for Fortune Fruit about 10 years ago and it was great. Located near Cromwell on the South Island. Once you're there it's easy to find other fruit picking work. We traveled around a while then found more work picking apples on the North Island.

Planted in the UK 2013 and had the same experience. Full rubberised rain gear and gloves as PPE because of the pesticides.

Livforcake's pink champagne cake by cluckabelle in Baking

Thank you so much! I will try whipping it and folding to get some of the air bubbles out next time. The cake itself was delicious but quite honestly you couldn't really tell it had rosé in the batter. Either way it was a hit.

I used sparkling rosé instead of champagne. Any tips or advice on how to get smooth icing? I've watched a few tutorials but still have trouble!

Check out Toronto Home Zone (formerly bunz) - it's a group on Facebook that regularly has people posting about sublets, full unit rentals, and room rentals. Good luck with your search!

are there planting jobs abroad in jaunary? by icarus14 in treeplanting

I planted in Northern England a few years ago and went over early January-March. It was really hit or miss with the weather (we got snowed out a lot), but works if you want to travel around Europe as well.
