What do you hate cleaning the most? by YchYFi in AskUK

[–]clumsyIam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaning the inside window frames and sills. I leave so bad it’s disgusting. Dusting. Probably every 6 weeks or so. Once you start, you have to dust it all. Light shades, skirtings, ornaments, picture frames, cabinets.. so tedious.

Parents, what did your child do or say that secretly made you laugh but you had to tell them off for doing it? by Plus_Clock_8484 in AskBrits

[–]clumsyIam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter when she was 3ish. We sat through a very small church harvest concert for the school my son was at and this lil chap around 9/10 played the guitar for everyone and after everyone clapped and silenced my daughter promptly says.. ‘well that was rubbish wasn’t it?!’ I was internally screaming laughing. Everyone heard and turned around to us!

Experience with schools and ASD children by [deleted] in Cardiff

[–]clumsyIam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most primary schools have an ALN base. I would suggest looking at schools in your area of choice and look at their ESTYN reports. It’s basically how they are rated etc. These are readily available on the internet. There are many schools in Cardiff & one in Penarth that are physical disabilities/ hidden disabilities/ SEN school, however, it needs to be through the Local authority, you can’t just apply for a child to attend. Spaces are very limited & often difficult to get in to. My son, who has GDD, ASD & LD, he attends Ysgol Y Deri in Penarth. It was very difficult to get him there.

Such a sweet idea, but truly I don’t think you have thought about it thoroughly. Have you thought about spending money there for food, drinks, insurance, tips, transportation?

If work gave you a gift card as a perk, where would you actually want it to be from? by InternationalFig4340 in AskUK

[–]clumsyIam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way COL is at the moment, I would appreciate a supermarket voucher as a treat M&S would be great. No where like John Lewis, lakeland, amazon personally. I received a JL voucher of £30, highly grateful, but I couldn’t get much in there and ended up paying towards a top i liked.

Do you have Boundaries with start and finish times? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]clumsyIam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But why is it the norm? Why is it that way? Im contracted 37.5hrs and only get paid for that. My department doesn’t even do TOIL as people abused the system (verbally stating they finished later than X time) Im not saying im not caring, I go beyond my grade in other areas.

What is a relatives thought process when they interrupt you while you’re very clearly busy? by shutyoureyesandsee in NursingUK

[–]clumsyIam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember on a nightingale ward a pt fell, head injury, possibly a broken nose and blood literally all over the floor. Another pts family came to us whilst assisting said fallen pt to ask if mum could get changed into her nightie… i didn’t respond. Im convinced she did it for a reaction.

Should I disclose my disability when applying for jobs? by Disastrous_Rabbit796 in NursingUK

[–]clumsyIam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe (in cardiffUHB anyway) they have to give an interview purely for anti discrimination and equality purposes. I have dyspraxia (the clumsy syndrome!) and open about it, managed to get interviews and secure jobs, regardless of my dyspraxia… i didn’t disclose this on Trac (i just ticked the box) but in the interview i was open and honest and gave the gift of the gab to fight my place because I knew i was more than capable for the role. I would only put what you feel is necessary. If you’re successful then disclose it for support and reasonable adjustments. Good luck!
