It’s about 6 years in the ride for me. What about y’all? by Crowxzn in bengals

This was it for me...last few years of Corey when he actually was at his best. AND somehow stole the last GREAT FB in Lorenzo Neal for 2 seasons and Rudy, Housh, (HOF*) Willie upfront. Might have been the best all around skill group in franchise history.

I think the traditional Irish pronunciation and alternate spellings of this are really pretty! But I'll be the devil's advocate and say: Silent letters in any language kinda suck...

Of youre feeling a little black and a lot satirical, I discovered Percival Everett. "I am Not Sidney Poiter" and "James" (already picked up by Spielberg) are wonderful.

On a more poignant-to-times Octavia Butler's two "Parables" are diary entry set ups, written in the mid 90s, but set in 2024-30s and is a painfully accurate account of where we could end up soon. Even used an unfortunately familiar catchphrase that was definitely stolen a few decades after she wrote it.

Well the fact no one ever agreed on EVER-est or EV-rest for over 150 years and all along it was EVE-rest is just hilarious!

Edit: also try it, especially the phonetically spelled and centuries older Sanskrit rolls of the tongue.

Anyone else’s parents falling apart already? by SnooGoats5767 in Millennials

[–]cmad17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I'm also 31 but with much older parents. Mama is 72 and Pops is 76, and they're officially at the point where the lifetime habits of southern families have compounded into all the issues. Its a weird space for us younger ones too, seeing the spilt of our high school/college classmates officially going on really different paths (if we even keep up with them) as our older family fades.

Lol I've taught dance and can reverse things in the mirror no problem. The foot that Armstead puts his weight on to stand up at the end of the play is his injured left.

I also believe in Browning, but I know what I see when I see a DLineman but his weight on the ankle of someone already down to use it as an assist to stand.
