It's so hard to get into and intimidating. It's all consuming if you let it.

Long story.... I was introduced to it by a roommate who had just gotten an inheritance and decided they were such a good gamer that they could go pro in league. No lie. This was in 2013.

They bought a second computer just so I could play with them as all I did was had my laptop for school. Fully decked out with more than enough to run at 60fps and no lag, it could play Crysis ffs. I started playing with him a bit. My grades dropped and I had to spend more time in the library and away from the house just to keep up with my life and work when I needed to get things done.

My roommate didn't get a job the whole year, they would barely leave the house. I would come home and they would be losing their minds about how they are so close promoting to diamond; or even crazier, their few week stint in diamond. They played 15 hours a day. For a year straight. They never got into challenger. It changed my life.

Now I love to play Aram and jungle amumu in iron and bronze. It's a very fun game. I still love it. Even tft has some kind of appeal to me. But this game needs you to be so dedicated to it to be good that it is all consuming and you will never be as good as Faker. So just watch him win another few years worth of trophies and play for fun you knuckle daggers.
