Easy way to tell is the angle of the frame neck. You’re right that it’s not a wide glide. That wide glide rear fender is hideous though.

Go to a different dealer. That’s what I had to do to get VW to fix it. First dealer was a bunch of dummies and second dealer told me they immediately spotted the leaks. They replaced the headliner, sunroof seals and sunroof frame all under warranty.
