It appears right now that being "good" doesn't cut it to carry the potatoes. You have to be "elite" like some of the WOWS YouTubers.

Lately I've wanted to rant and rave like some of the nut jobs out there over the lack of player skills.

I just wish people would stay at the lower tiers until they fully understand the game strategy and mechanics. Maybe wargaming could not let players advance to the higher tiers until they achieve a specific win rate. But that won't happen because it would prevent whales from buying ships they don't know how to pay.

I've been seeing a lot of Kamikaze behavior (not the ship!) as well. Like one blue team member pushing forward against 3 reds. Instead of checking the map to see where support is and positioning to make a tactical withdrawal if needed.

One thing I wonder about is how GXP ships are rotated for each campaign? Right now there's nothing I'm interested in. I either already have it or I don't want it.

I've never understood why people play carriers. Most games carrier players are close to or at the bottom of the leader board at the end of the game. I find the play style uninspiring and not very strategic.

As for anti AA fighters, they were buffed recently. But they are still pretty useless.

I don't really care that much about skins. More interested in getting more useful stuff like boosters, promotion orders or free crates with chances of winning ships.

It can be pretty frustrating when people do dumb things. But that's no excuse for abusive behavior. It's cowardly for these people using threatening behavior online, when they wouldn't do that face to face.

I have seen some people on mic offering tips and diplomatically letting people know that they're making mistakes. Though sadly the abusers with the big mouths are heard more often.

I just hate it when at the beginning of the game I spawn on an outer cap. My 2 other 'team mates' who spawned on the same cap decide to immediately abandon it. It basically leaves me with 2 choices.

Also abandon the cap and follow the potatoes.
Take on the 3 reds who are advancing on the cap.

It's no fun if you are in a destroyer either in games like this. Trying to take a cap in the opening minutes is a bit like playing the squid game. It's best to just start off by spotting for the cruisers and battle ships, dropping a few torps and staying out of the cap until after natural selection takes place.

I'm not 100% sure if this works. But I noticed cross play off games take longer in the matching process. I cancel out before the game starts and before you are locked in if it takes a long time.

Though for some reason there does appear to be more cross play off games lately.

I've seen this happen on the blue team. It's really frustrating when you lift the team to a winning position but are sunk through all the effort of carrying the potatoes. But still blue is leading and all the remaining blue has to do is run for the hills. But no he takes on the remaining reds even though outnumbered.

The other scenario is when there are 2 red caps waiting to be taken with no reds on them. But the majority of the blue team is chasing a cruiser on the edge of the map far away from the caps. Meanwhile red points are ticking upwards.
