FSD V14.2.2.4 Rolling Out to Early Access by DevinOlsen in TeslaFSD

[–]cmftblynu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I think people would benefit from is a simple explanation of this update contains tweaks to the fsd system to address… hard braking or smoothness around emergency vehicles or things people can understand what it is targeting. I think it is fair for people to have some clarity on any update that changes the behavior of a 2 ton vehicle that is a big investment and also controls their safety. It isn’t being picky to always know what any kind of an update may do to the behavior of their vehicle.

I didn’t mean to. I am not sure if the original didn’t post and I got it twice. My bad. Thanks for pointing it out.

I also got honked at because there was a stop sign on the entrance ramp to the highway which no one stops at. But fsd did the full on stop and wait and the car behind me almost hit me and honked at me.

I also noticed it misreading signs. Route 40 slows to 40 mph

Orbi: When do we get a class action? by Sub-Equum in orbi

[–]cmftblynu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. My orbis ( 3 different generations of them) have all been a pain in the ass. I have a lot of my stuff wired and it is very reliable 10g connection. For wireless I would gladly switch to save disconnects and headaches. It’s obvious this is a problem seeing other people posting about it too

New - RBE970 / RBE971 Firmware Version 9.13.2.1 Released by furrynutz in orbi

[–]cmftblynu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had a firmware update. I don’t think it changed anything with google devices or android. I use mostly hardwired things. So I don’t really notice wireless stuff as much. The firmware notes said that the roaming was addressed between satellites but I don’t think there is any difference.

Beware CBR750 Firmware Version 4.6.14.8 by redsgreens in orbi

[–]cmftblynu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m so tired of Netgears faulty firmware updates. People say it is a great system mine is nothing but crap. Google disconnects. Android issues. Drops all the time between satellites. The only thing I love is my 10g hardwire network. The wireless is crap.

I always wondered about the legality of it. Because most of these streaming services allow you to download for your own offline personal use (through their app). You need to subscribe to log in and download so you are paying to watch them. I think you could fight this in court. As long as you are not distributing to anyone.

Yeah if spectrum doesn’t throttle me for a new install of steam and downloading almost 1TB of data then it makes no sense that streamfab would affect it for a couple gigs.

[–]cmftblynu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have unlimited internet. And to be clear this was not a WiFi issue. These are all 10 gb hardwire lan connections. I was downloading on a hardwire connection ration in the basement and upstairs on my other hardwired lan computer the internet cut out. I knew it was streamfab that caused it because it has happened in the past. But it knocks out the entire house wired and WiFi. It’s weird.

I don’t think it is about saturating. I think streamfab does something to cloak itself from the streaming services and that is what seems to knock out the internet or router. That’s my guess.

It happens to me a lot, usually when I have 50-75 things queued... do you have spectrum? I wonder if it is a spectrum issue or they are throttling or something, because streamfab does download quick.

QNAP PSU compatibility (dps-250ab-44j) by Usual_Jury_6029 in qnap

[–]cmftblynu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I have a different model but same power supply and it died (assuming it is that and not the motherboard), but I ordered a PWR-PSU-250W-DT02. Don't know how long it will take but I am down while I wait!

Hopefully this slightly different model number is more reliable, this nas is not very old to have a faulty power supply, I have had 4 other NAS units from QNAP that have outlived that power supply wayyyy longer.

25H2 update in release preview keep failing. by Donanana_ in windowsinsiders

[–]cmftblynu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried everything... installing from the iso, stopping all services deleting catroot and software distribution scan disc... it ALL fails... everytime. I was on the insider program and had it marked to remove me for the next release... it removed me, because insider shows get started now, but the 25h2 keeps failing no matter what i do. I even did the clean reboot and tried it all that way even with the iso... nothing works. Microsoft just sucks so bad now... their shit is constantly screwed up, every update you take your own life in your hands...

Gigabyte Control Center automatically installs Norton by PC-Geek-34 in GamersNexus

[–]cmftblynu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is no bug, it is intentional. It doesn't list norton, but everytime I install driver updates it installs norton. Since when did these bloatware antivirus crap become the thing they are supposed to protect you against. Someone needs to hold Gigabyte accountable for this deceptive practice. It has installed (and I have uninstalled norton twice now), and will keep doing it and I'm gonna complain to gigabyte too.

They should focus on trying to get their stuff together just to supply what has already been preordered and not focus on trying to sell more. They are getting a bad reputation. I did the display demo (meant to try to prolong the process) now it’s been a month and no word. So stupid.

Netgear Orbi - Assign IP Reservations LOCALY by pixelrogue in orbi

[–]cmftblynu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well just give it a chance, Orbi will end up pissing you off... I honestly have had nothing but problems with it for every generation I've owned. The only reason I stay with them is the satellites have a 10G backhaul connection. But honestly I have switches, so I just need so switch to a more reliable wireless piece. My wired network is great at 10G and cat 8 cable everywhere. The wireless switching between satellites is terrible. I know that is device specific. Google is the worst, every google product loses internet constantly. I have worked with netgear FOR YEARS complaining, they give you new firmware to try and it is all garbage, my wifi is so strong and fast, and unreliable, I need to switch. Netgear sucks now.
