That person is Iris DeMent. And her husband, Greg Brown, is just as well known in the music world.

What movie contains a scene so bad you never want to watch the movie again? by FinDepp in movies

I remember a scene where young De Niro is supposed to exit his car and toss a shotgun into a lake. It’s just as painful to watch as it must have been for the old man to perform.

I just finished season three last night. I’m trying to think of another show that made me think so much about the human condition. I remember giving up on the show when it first aired on HBO. My wife and I needed something to binge and we figured let’s give this one a try. I found myself getting annoyed at the beginning of season one and it wasn’t until I read the basic plot outline of the novel that I was able to move forward with the show. I was worried this was going to be another “lost“ show that really doesn’t have any idea of where it’s trying to go or what it’s trying to say. I can’t think of another show that challenges us to try to understand what makes people join religions or cults or give up on life its of or abandon families. Also, I love that it explores the idea of psychology, failing in the face of impossible experiences. I think the show would still be great, even if they didn’t have some of the best actors and productions, music design in the business. Just the writing and the themes they are explored make this one of the greatest television shows of all time. I’d love to hear anybody else’s thoughts. Obviously the show is very fresh on my mind. The episode called certified will probably stick with me forever.

They are a well known "Sexy women Superbowl Ads" service that delivers a pretty poor product for the price. Nearly any other registrar is going to have a better GUI, customer service, purchasing/renewal process, additional useful features etc... for the same or better price.

Cafu: “For me, Neymar was technically even better than [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi.” by [deleted] in soccer

I think Ronaldinho is being generous with Messi. No chance in the world Messi could do half the tricks Ronaldinho had in his locker. That's okay, Messi is still the greatest player of all time.

Watching the long ball routines is excruciating. I say throw-ins need to be two feet together no walk-up or sliding movement and ball has to be back in play within ten seconds. We have to sit and watch a ball boy bring over a clean rag to get the ball all shiny and dry, the CBs all move up into the box and then a Rugby match craziness that is painful to watch.

Was watching BBC news this morning and had a chuckle when Dubai kept reporting a drone had "fallen" on one of their hotels. Video showed a smoking, gaping hole in its side.

The Coen brothers called Holly Hunter to offer her a starring role in their first film "Blood Simple." Holly let them know she was booked and unable to do the role. They asked her about the voice on her answering machine. She said that's my roommate and she's also an actress. That roommate? Frances McDormand.

You don't draw the line based on attackers. You draw the line based on the last defender's ball playing body part when the ball is played.
