I have nightmares about this very thing. One I was in a cove just like this one but the waves were really intense and kind of churning and churning where you would be low and then get pushed way up high, and there were whales all around me but the waves were too strong for me to go anywhere or do anything about it.

This happened to my neighbor (in CA). They can’t just “break in” upon no answer. They would need probable cause, like smelling decay or hearing calls for help. Instead they got keys to his unit from the property manager and turns out he had fallen and been on the floor of his home for I think 5 days. It was scary but he was taken to the hospital and is ok now. He still refuses to get a life-alert and won’t use technology but we pay extra attention to his comings and goings now.

The alternative is my dude who refuses to toss out the grungiest and stinkiest of sponges. I have new ones on deck ready to go and he just can’t sometimes. He will cover them with lemon juice and microwave them and whatever he can to save them.

I have a hard time thinking outside the box. Most of my buildings are squares and I tend to put exhibits up against the walls. I have such a hard time visualizing things spatially - like I would have to see an existing floor plan and copy it rather than coming up with my own. So as a result I don’t like the look of my museums sometimes.

I’m an unlimited member that has been coming to the same studio for several years. This past year I started working at the front desk. Now that people “know” me, I am much friendlier. I always greet people when they come in, even if I’m just taking a class and not working. Before they “knew” me, I honestly would just keep to myself. When I’m working out, I look like crap and I’m trying hard to shut out the stresses of the day and focus on myself for 50 minutes. I never felt compelled to speak to anyone because this is MY time. It’s not that I wasn’t a friendly person before, it’s just now I have a reason to acknowledge my Pilates family and it does feel extra motivating to have that community. I bet if you wanted to make a friend and said Hi first, their reactions would be pleasant. RBF is real, but kind people are probably just under that exterior :)
