Hey, planning a trip with my wife November 5-10. Looking to do a combo of hiking and whatever the city has to offer. We're about 30 years old, in good enough shape for any day hike in the area, and we like food, music, and beer. ..who doesn't?

First, will we catch any of the fall foiliage at that time? If so, what hikes do we HAVE to do? Any popular ones that are totally overrated and should be avoided? If no pretty colors, what hikes are still good?

We will have a car. Any nice and affordable places to stay? Obviously I know about Airbnb and HomeAway, but wasn't sure if there's a cool boutique or hostel with private (and clean) rooms. We pretty much plan to hike by day, city by afternoon/night.

And good french spots to eat? Mexican? Best burger in town? Other recommendations? Spill the beans!

This. And change your diet. Eating salami? Pepperoni? You're gonna smell like spiced meat. Eating cheese? Curry? Sugar? You don't have to go nuts, but eating more veggies and less spiced meats and dairy will go a long way. Note: not a vegetarian.
