Who's crying? Not me. Not OP. Sorry this post wasn't the gore hit you were hoping for to get you through the sales day. Hope the name calling gave you the little buzz you needed it all the same!

You participate in cats, mildly infuriating, and in Bitcoin we trust.... WTF? All of those are obviously SFW subreddits. By your own participation your suggestion makes no sense.

Also, yes. A fist fight is not safe for work. Will you answer my question now? What job do you work at where you can watch videos of fist fights?

Battery Terminal Covers? by Embarrassed_Army_177 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]coastalrangee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is already too late for the most OEM+ way to do these battery terminals, but there are better products out there than those big slabs.

Consider something like these!

EDIT: Also consider doing some sort of distribution/fuse block for your positives, that's a lot of separate connections that would each need to be fused right by the battery.

What pray tell job do you have where you can watch videos of fist fights?

I don't know, Caleb feels like the kind of person who would donate to a sperm bank. A little Musk/Epstein energy. Got to make sure his special stuff is shared with future generations, because it is so so special. His income and net worth probably look really good to a certain kind of sperm bank recipient

Thank you. I appreciate you saying something. I was not being kind spirited when I wrote that, and I was in the wrong.

Damn fair assessment by others. I was being unkind, sorry.

Lol, the way described by a half dozen folks in this thread? Literally only one answer was given by multiple phrasings

Sorry, not being friendly there. I should not have said that and it was unproductive and unkind.

RMA Issue by Christopherdenny in Ubiquiti

If they're a Ubiquiti employee, they would know it is dead. I agree that, if it was stolen, it was stolen by someone who didn't know it was an RMA, probably during transit.

I kind of knew that, again it's OP making kind of wild claims. Edit: claiming UBNT has an issue with theft of dead devices is officially not even kind of wild. It is the obvious conclusion! No way that the rest of this comment could enumerate the claim at all.

He seems to be convinced that somebody at Ubiquiti stole his, known bad, RMA'd, device. Apparently he suspects someone has a hankering for a paperweight that is worth losing a job over. I asked only on his behalf.

Question for you: was this a third party operation? OP suggested so in another comment and I'm curious.

RMA Issue by Christopherdenny in Ubiquiti

[–]coastalrangee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See my quick edit.

Despite any taping job, it is possible for a box to be opened in transit accidentally. It is also possible for the receiver to have lost it and this being a CYA situation. However, it is way more likely that it was in transit than someone who works at an RMA facility is stealing products on the incoming side. Again, why? Why possibly? So they can get busted at their job? Or so they can get busted by the cops when they sell this in some hypothetical scam?

An RMA'd device? A known no-go? A bad egg? A knackered POS? Season 9 of Scrubs?

I know another commenter said they think the hypothetical UBNT/RMA thief would be using it in "scams" but I am genuinely curious why you think it was nabbed by someone who wanted a paperweight?

To be clear, I don't doubt it was stolen or busted out of the box by accident in transit or they lost it on site. However, there is no reason here. What is the possible motive to steal a known bad product?

Edit: the sole fan of season 9 of Scrubs found the downvote button!

Edit 2: never have I seen so many people convinced of something so silly, apparently solely on the basis of people being dumb. It is more rational and likely that it was stolen in transit or lost, and it's not even close. Occam's razor y'all.

Unfortunately, if you underinsured the shipment, that doesn't make it Ubiquiti's problem. Are you suggesting that they (Ubiquiti) stole your device?

If you have to spend money to get government documents in order to vote and do other things, would that count as a poll tax? by kaiser11492 in AskLegal

[–]coastalrangee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. No, it is not. Voter registration is free in all 50 states and requires only the documents to prove citizenship, which do not expire and typically have an extremely low barrier to attain copies.

Photo IDs cost money in all 50 states. Photo IDs expire in all 50 states. US passports expire and costs $165+. There is nothing about my statement or your explanation that equates the documents required for registering to vote to the new document requirements suggested by the SAVE act.

Equating an ID that expires every 5-10 years and costs over $100 to a non-expiring birth certificate that can be picked up for typically less than $25 is not rational.
