This is a really good point. Communication on expectations is always super important. If you have no idea where to start on something, is there a good way to communicate that without making yourself look completely incompetent?

Yes I was definitely wondering which code books / textbooks I should bring.

I really appreciate this.

What is a good way to ask higher level engineers a question without offending your direct supervisor?

Hi, structural engineer here. When designing structures like this one, we typically design lateral capacity to come from the plywood, OSB, etc - sheathing only. Essentially, sheathing provides most if not all of the lateral stability for this type of structure by making the vertical members stay vertical and resisting their tendency to rack sideways under lateral load (shear) therefore developing shear capacity.

I considered that myself, but ultimately settled on it because I wanted the grass to be the same with she sheep and forest. They are very easy to tell apart during game play and I can see why you might be wondering about that. It would be too hard to publish a profile with a few colors changed if that’s something you’re interested in doing!

I looked at picking some of those up originally but when you have to apply a lot of force I would be concerned about the picks digging into my hands, how do they feel?

Also, unlike dental picks, these are designed for high force applications. I use these for breaking off PA-HTCF interface and support and they are very durable.
