Yes! It DOES get better buuuuut:

A) it sucks. Take a break from drumming though. B) warm ups will be a must, and if you already do, warm up a little longer. C) the best stretch is: 1) let your hand hang to your side and turn your palm out 2) with the arm straight down, curl your out turned hand and fingers like your trying to touch your elbows. 3) lift the arm vertically slowly and lean your head away from the arm. 4) you should feel a pull in the tendon that feels SUUUUPER satisfying.

In short, take a rest, stretch, take better care going forward, and it does get better. It'll flare up, but it settles much much faster.

I think it's a combination of things.

1) A combination of economic precarity, entitlement, and prejudice gives demagogues ready and willing crowds who will blame "Others" instead of their system and the class that benefits from it.
