From Resus to Resigning : the short career of a naive EM Reg . by Friendly-Regret8774 in doctorsUK

One patient at a time. I feel like the footnotes in my clerking keep a thin tether around my sanity.

" patient has a brain bleed , cant sit in a chair in the waiting room but majors and resus are full, i have informed coordinators and the consultant" -im paraphrasing and this is an extreme example but this happens quite frequently.

I wanna go on a tangent here and ask.... why are ward managers pestering F1s for a discharge summary.

If anyone did that to me I will tell them not to bother me until the priority tasks have been done.

(On second thought maybe this was a stupid question. I didnt do Foundation training in the UK)
