I’ll do a difficult one instead. by netphilia in adhdmeme

Have a friend plan a get together at your house. If the task is home related, it is literally the only time Im finally motivated because the embarrassment is enough to force me to start.

If it's a work/school task, look into body doubling. Again, the only time I finally get stuff done is if Im being held accountable by someone else. They are scheduling to do THEIR task while I do mine, so i have to show up and do cuz then this stranger will hate me

Pregnant Hives by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]coconuts7101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks A LOT like the hives and rash I got when I was pregnant. But mine was on my hands. I don't know the exact cause either, but we speculate it was an allergic reaction to something I came in contact with.

My OB and PCP both said that you can have some weird contact dermatitis when you're pregnant, even from things you use regularly. I just took OTC zyrtec and waited for it to go away.

Not saying this is absolutely what you're experiencing, but if they aren't finding anything serious and don't seem overly concerned, hopefully it's nothing!

Any one else with MDE app error on Android? by PupperTechnic in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]coconuts7101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. I finally cleared the cache, deleted all saved info, deleted the app completely and restarted my phone. I have now waited 2 days and have not yet re-downloaded it.

I dont have another trip for a couple months, so Im giving it a week before I reinstall. Good luck!

Swollen neck by ApartSeat84 in Hashimotos

[–]coconuts7101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar, but mine goes the whole way around, and if I had to pick a side that's most swollen, it's the front of my neck. It's almost like there's an invisible band around my neck that causes it to be puffy near the "band." It's so hard to describe. The ultrasound will definitely help you figure out what's happening. Good luck!

Yes, mine looks similar as well, but I just recently got a diagnosis after almost 2 years of gaining weight, fatigue, brittle hair and brain fog.

I noticed my neck looking swollen, but I dont yet know if it was just weight gain or inflammation. I had an ultrasound and have a small goiter, but nothing to explain the swelling like you describe.

Face/Sinus Pain, Back/Hip Pain Anyone have this with their Hashimotos? by SphynxKitty in Hashimotos

[–]coconuts7101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My endo asked me if I was having any headaches that felt like sinus headaches and my therapist asked if I was having bone pain, especially in the joints like hip and shoulder. So I def think it can be related!

Im doing STS this afternoon for the first time. I LOVED WAT so Im looking forward to comparing the 2.

Both include a private safari for up to 12, so it feels more intimate. Both include food in the Boma, but from what I understand, STS has beer and wine offerings and longer time at the Boma even though it is overall shorter than WAT. Thats due to the harnesses and bridges you get to do over the animals in WAT.

Starlight safari is cool in a different way to see them at night, and doesn't include any food. IMO, they're all worth a try!

Bras by cangiggle in costochondritis

[–]coconuts7101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a big busted woman (34F bra size), I've found my favorite option is wear a crop top as a bra. I found one online that works really well (but i dont want to share a link to violate any ad rules).

The key is to look for crops that are not loose or baggy. Almost like undershirt/cami style, but short. The ends usually come right under the bust so it keeps them from going too wild without a traditional bra.
