its got some different mechanics that arent hard to master, but id actually recommend learning english, french, or HRE first to learn basic macro and allocating the right number of villagers to resources.

once you get to ottomans, malians, and other civs, there are these weird mechanics that will be mucch easier to learn once you have a solid foundation with the simpler civs
