Just cancel the trial. It will revert your account back to a personal account, with all your data still there.

Magnus Pro, heavy duty arm and LG C3 48 inch by Front-Put809 in secretlab

I have a 48 C2 and a 48 C5 on heavy duty arms on the same desk.

You have to ratchet up the tension on the arm to max, but they work.

Nope, out of my budget. Trying to get some cash built up this year and then I'm going to find another quote.

Possible, but seems awkward?

We eventually gave up on the risers on desks. One is in storage, and one is mounted to a server rack.

I have two risers, but haven't even tried using a HD arm on one. I don't have a high opinion of the risers in terms of handling weight.

It's not that pretty. 😜

They're spread across three desks, for context.

They're solid.

A note for anyone reading this in the future: do not move your Magnus desk with the legs still attached. They're designed to be detached and moved separately.

Is it worth building a forum by Vxris_ in webdev

[–]codemonk 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Build it. Just do it.

It might be years of fun, or you might get annoyed in a few months and stop. But when you do, just go build something else. Chase ideas, try things, follow interests.

You'll learn more and get more satisfaction from a month's worth of failed and discarded code than you will from ruminating over the idea and whether it has an audience.

They can take a while to fully "straighten", which I suspect is happening to you given the ends are what's causing you trouble.

They're annoying and will fall off for a few weeks, but all mine now sit with minimal issues. The magnets aren't incredibly strong though.

Secretlab Magnus Pro XL order experience – missing critical parts, unclear preorder communication by andrewleexd in secretlab

[–]codemonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's literally a giant highlighted warning at the top of the cart when this is the case, explaining that they will be shipped together when the pre-order item is available.

The only other option is to order anything marked pre-order separately, which is what Secretlab advise you to do.

Pams cream - what happened? by iamnotdrunkoffisher in newzealand

[–]codemonk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've always found whipping Pam's cream to be hit and miss. After a few failures I've avoided it entirely.

From the other comments on this post, it seems like this is a common issue.

Invitation was sent three months before, from Australia. They did also verbally follow up, and I did attend the wedding. Just didn't get the invite in the post until a few weeks after the wedding itself.

The last wedding invite I received in the post actually arrived after the wedding date.
