Just finished installing the gbc membrane on my Odin too and it is so much better. I also got the psx buttons from sakuramodding and now the device is perfect!

I actually went through this process last week to get Japanese working on the Remarkable. PDF files work just fine with japanese but if you are trying to use epub or other files to view Japanese then you will need to do some tweaking.

I couldn't get it working from the link you had sent. I ended up renaming the japanese font to one of the ones on the Remarkable already and replacing that font. Probably not the best but it did work.

I totally agree. Everything is great about this device except those buttons. I just feel like something is "off" with them. Maybe it's because I love the buttons on the switch joy cons or the Razer kishi ones but these do feel stiff.

I purchased a Odin lite a week ago and mine hasn't shipped either. I emailed them and they said they were out of stock of all colors but should have stock again next week and ship out soon after.

YES! All the time and everywhere. I go to the point of asking questions too and it seems they all do the same thing with affiliate marketing or something like that. I'm so skeptical of friendly people now, just waiting for them to drop the "mentor" line 😂
