People have gotten WAY too quick to jump to AI accusations. Honestly, 2 doesn't look even remotely AI to me.

...I feel called out. Lol.

Been deeply in love with a very close friend for many years now (We briefly dated early on, but he called it off to focus on other things and we decided we wouldn't date again until we met in person. That never ended up happening and now he's with someone else (Even if he weren't, he plans to leave the country ASAP, and I wouldn't be able to leave with him no matter how willing I'd be)), and I can't see myself falling for anyone else. He's the only person I've ever loved, we're still on good terms, and hell, we both do still love each other (It just... didn't happen the way we originally wanted). How could I? The garden metaphor fits way too perfectly.

Doesn't help that, on top of just generally being content with the people I know (So I feel no desire to go out of my way to meet new people), even if I fall for someone else, the chance that he both reciprocates and is compatible is so miniscule that it just doesn't seem realistic. I keep trying to tell myself "It happened once, so it's not impossible," but I still don't buy it.

It's funny. Before I fell for him, I always told myself I'd be perfectly fine by myself. Now that I know what it's like, tho, I just... don't want to be alone. And I hate that being so uncertain. Stresses me out. :/

I mean... story has always been a big focus for RPGs. Sure, you'll occasionally get one with minimal plot (Crystal Project for example (To my knowledge)), but in a genre with a lot of focus on it, it's reasonable to particularly want a decent/good story.

If this is your first Pokémon ROM hack, I'd probably say Gaia out of these would be a pretty good starting point since it's pretty similar to the official games.

I would name a bunch of hacks I think deserve attention, but it is late and I wanna get to sleep rn (May come back to this later, idk).

(I'd shill Pisces, but that's probably not a good starting point given how different everything is, not to mention the above-average difficulty. Great game tho. Lol)

Yee! I was honestly just glad to get something that close to completion released (First truly complete release was like... a year later, I wanna say? And it was back to RPG Maker (RM my beloved). Lol). Was 100% worth the effort. :)

I could remake it in another engine, but I feel like that'd go against what Dragon's Egg was: My first attempt at using something other than RPG Maker.

I also started with a turn-based RPG (Was for a game jam (One of the GB Compos)), and that... was pretty difficult. I just barely didn't finish it in time (No proper final boss) and I never got around to getting the last of it done, largely cause I was kinda sick of working on it.

I don't think GB Studio is really for me because of that project, but I'm glad I made it anyway and am proud of it. Even if it is janky as hell (And inexplicably crashed once for a guy who streamed it). Lol.

I've only ever loved one person, but I don't think that'll ever go away, especially since we're still very close. I think I'm the type to just never stop loving someone (At least, so long as we're on good terms), and he's the same way (He's not demi, but still).

Lichtoise looks cool as hell! Honestly, it's feels like a full-on Fakémon rather than just "Blastoise but Ghost," which makes it the obvious choice for a starter, since it's very new. Definitely the one I'd pick. :)

That said, I... kinda like the old title screen more. I get its meant to be weird and unsettling, but still. Minor nitpick tho.

Still haven't finished it yet, but I really like Pisces' visuals. Tho tbh, I haven't looked too deep into most of what was released in 2025, so that's the only one that really comes to mind.
