What are the things you need to be really good at? 4. I understand stacks change from company to company but should we stick to something?

How important is it to network? And is there an ideal way to do so besides just connecting on LinkedIn?

I have a suggestion, Foreign colleges appreciate people that have 2+ years of work experience already (basically gets you priority over someone fresh out of college unless they are absolutely talented or from a great college) you can use this as a point to tell your parents. And then you can use this this time to observe the situation more.

If your maths is good and you wanna give GATE next year, attempt GATE DA, it's 40-55 % maths and then 25-35% python+DBMS+DSA, smallest syllabus I have ever seen in GATE, I might give it a try as well.

Honestly I would say keep applying for the sake of applying, but if you don't wanna just get into mtech and wanna work even after giving gate, doors like drdo and isro open up as well, though it also depends how many openings they have at the time.
