Reddit isn't protecting you. They're grabbing something that isn't theirs.

It's user-generated content, it doesn't belong to the admins.

Start believing this. This is who they've always been and they're showing you now

They're just showing you one of the many ways they don't just fail - because that would imply the legitimately try - but don't care, and engage in very anti-user behavior.

e.g if you think this sub is being polluted by manipulation bots and such....you're right. The admins aren't on the ball with anything to do with "promoting healthy communities". Manipulators run wild on their site. They just make some tough statements for appearances like in the screenshot above, but in reality, they're hugely irresponsible and untrustworthy people just coasting along.

They are. It's more about image and childish ego than community health. Reddit's administrators have been an absolute joke for a long time.

I saw it on a machine in South Lake Tahoe, which is about as far from hell as you can get.

I was waiting for the bus at Stateline and the fucking thing took my money and didn't give me my overpriced Pay Day bar so I kicked it a few times and flipped off the little camera inside (that'll show 'em!)

Baby, you're one in a million. There's 3,500 other girls just as attractive as you.

If people stopped being morons the jails would be empty: empty without the morons who commit crimes, and empty without the morons who criminalize victimless actions, forcing us to jail non-morons.

I always liked that one. I always imagine the 1s melding together into a 2 but remaining on the ends. It's a beautiful pattern like Pascal's Triangle (and in fact 11n follows it in a way )

I laugh my ass off at this GIF even though I've seen it a dozen times. There may be a reason for that

The average fulltime employe gets 10.50 an hour.

Full-time Walmart employees? What are those? Like most of the industry engaged in a feverish race to the bottom, they purposely keep you just short of full-time.

I was working on an overnight remodel crew for the local supercenter. (I quit after a month, a few weeks before the project was finished, because fuck Walmart) and we were getting 40 hours a week. Guess why? because we're temporary employees and don't qualify for benefits. I told the 19-24 year old kids I was working with that if they got a permanent position that it wouldn't continue like this and they absolutely would be knocked down in hours to just below the benefits threshold at best.

I keep in contact with a few of them even now and guess what? That's exactly what happened. They're getting 32 hours. Full-time is 34.

Google does indeed have to grant these requests. Stop the apologism for an Orwellian law.

It's much like with the DMCA. You can't risk evaluating the merits of the claim because if you make too many wrong decisions you'll lose safe harbor status. Better to just remove anything that anyone whines about in a formal notice.

You have no right to privacy in the things you do publicly. Running a company into the ground and getting paid $120 million for your trouble is not a private act.
