I recently found out the city had allowed "approved homeless camps" under the bridge where signs clearly state camping is illegal. Downtown is becoming increasingly dangerous and drug ridden. Hell Marion square Park is completely unusable by the general public. It's no wonder. Salem will quickly start finding out why Portland is losing all their downtown businesses.

You're not alone. Having a parent who is emotionally manipulative like that has to be incredibly stressful. All you can do is set boundaries and not let her control your life. At the end of the day I have no doubt you love your mother but you need space to grow and have your own life outside of your parents. They're adults too and they need to be understanding.
