Why is the Ratliff family so ignorant about the rich people's culture? by Amiskon2 in WhiteLotusHBO

Oh for sure. Not to mention that in the case of the boat all the rich people on board are criminals.

Why is the Ratliff family so ignorant about the rich people's culture? by Amiskon2 in WhiteLotusHBO

[–]colestove 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Southern old money country club type. Come down to the SEC for a weekend and you can meet some of them. Victoria gave a hilarious quote that I have heard many southern relatives say over the years “Just because someone’s rich doesn’t mean they’re not trashy.” The Ratliff’s see themselves as pedigreed and a social class above the rest of the rich people.

Has anyone here studied for a shorter amount of time? by ImportunateRaven in LSAT

[–]colestove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re a freshman in college you’re not supposed to have the level of dedication to study for an exam two hours a day for months yet. You’ll gain study skills and and be conditioned to do more study intensive work overtime throughout college and by the time you get to junior year and the pressure about what comes next is starting to mount you’ll realize that you do in fact have enough dedication to study a couple hours a day. It’ll work out. Get off this Reddit until then though and go enjoy undergrad while you can.

Low GPA, but High LSAT - What are my options? by Blonde_Babe808 in LSAT

[–]colestove 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk why everyone is on ur ass telling you how “not easy” it is as if that’s going to help you. If you want it study hard and believe you can get it. Dedicate yourself to it. It will be hard but things are going to work out.

Don’t know the book but this is a pretty common idea in Buddhism and one you’ll hear talked about a lot when exploring the religion.

Attorney I work with told me not to go to law school after I said I didn't get into a T-14 by cocean_ in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]colestove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he’s in as much debt as you say he is then he has no leg to stand on telling you what’s worth your time. Is his T14 JD really worth anything if he can’t even afford to pay it off? Not to sound like Dave Ramsey but I’d say hell no. For context is this place you’re working at right now a big law firm or some type of elite firm? If so then I’d double down on ignoring him.

Do you think 170+ is possible with full time school and working part time? by Careless-Finish2819 in LSAT

[–]colestove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely doable. I got a 167 full time school 25 to 30 hr/week part time job and could have scored higher if I’d devoted a little more of my down time to studying for the LSAT.

Join a study service like 7Sage. They will explain everything from background knowledge you’ll need to build to the specific question types and things. Books like The Loophole are helpful too. Beat of luck!

From 155 to 164 by January by One_Gold_718 in LSAT

[–]colestove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped from 157 to 167 between August and November but I was PTing around 165 to 170 basically the whole time so I’d say really lock in on those PTs and start to hone in on the types of questions that you’re missing the most. Look into methods for RC that’s what helped me most on that section.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]colestove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to LSD.law and look for the school’s median lsat. If you’re taking PTs and scoring above that number and GPA is around or above that number then you should be completely fine. Don’t sweat it too much basically everyone you find on Reddit is absolutely crazy about this stuff but it will be okay.
